IF they stop with the ice Blazer. I'd like to see a 2 row 3.6 V6 Traverse. We were looking at the Traverse before buying the Blazer, but didn't want the three row seats and the extra weight for just the two of us. Time will tell I guess. I'd prefer a V8 in either one myself.

 

I have also been eyeing up the new Traverse RS. Leaning toward the Explorer ST but who knows?

Hard to say what will happen, back in the spring of 2023 the scuttlebutt at the time was that the 2024 Blazer would be the last ICE one so we went and ordered a 3LT with the 3.6, I was done with 4 bangers. Lo an behold Chevy had some major issues with the 24 Blazer EV so ICE production was extended thru the '25 model year. Add in the possibility of tariff issues and the future of the Blazer is anyone's guess. My advice for what it's worth is you have your heart set on a new Blazer, especially one with the 3.6, act soon and not wait for '26. We're very happy with our'24 3LT, fit and finish was perfect and tight as a drum with no rattles. Rides and drives great and I love the power of the 3.6, no more uphill on ramp anxiety! However my wife thinks it's a little large for her liking (just right for me). My only issue is that I have troubles at time buckling and unbuckling the seat belt/shoulder harness, but I'm old and have some numbness in my right thumb and index finger, so there's that.

 

GM is going back to gas/ electric...hybrids

 

If Chevy drops the Blazer it will not be a big surprise for me.
In our area I see a lot of Equinox and Traverse but very few Blazers.
The Blazer is slightly bigger than the Equinox and slightly smaller than Traverse, so it would make sense to drop the slower selling Blazer.
When we were looking, I told my wife if Chevy didn't drop the Blazer it would probably get a complete redo in a year or two. She also likes the current Blazer body style more than a 2025 Equinox or 2025 Traverse. A 2026 Blazer would probably follow the boxy style of the newer Chevy SUVs and Crossovers.
She was not interested in getting any more high tech on the interior and liked the V6 in the Blazer.
The car she traded in was a 2008 Chevy Malibu she bought new. She doesn't care about having the latest and greatest
For her, she felt it was better to buy this year.
She's pretty fussy about the condition of her vehicles, so buying a used Blazer in a year or two probably would not work for her.

 

Very frustrated with GM. I've been looking at the 2025 Explorer ST for my next vehicle.

 

Why?

 

Guess I'll wait a couple of years and buy a 2025 Blazer, I'll be looking for a low mileage leased one that somebody turns in..
