I work at a GM dealership and there have been several come in with radiator leaks, I'm told its a common problem, I believe with 20 and 21 years. You won't notice fluid at home because there is a cover under the motor that seems to catch it all. My co-worker's got caught by chance when it was in for an oil change. So far so good on mine but I have a 22, not sure if they fixed the issue or not on the newer ones. Wait and see I guess.
I have a 22 Blazer RS, 16k miles, just bought it and smelled the leak. Brought it in yesterday and they replaced the radiator no questions asked

Our 2021 Blazer has 22k on it and the radiator is leaking and thew dealership is replacing.,.... Thankfully under warranty. Not getting a warm and fuzzy from the posts here and hope the problem doesn't come back... Not happy about them taking it apart to the extent needed for this either.
2022 RS here. 16k miles, new radiator put in yesterday and was also bothered by the extend of the work that was done. So far so good

I read on another forum regarding this...it was said that during the last few years(pandemic) the radiator seals were from a 3rd party vendor that was obviously making crap! This supposedly has been corrected now. That's why so many have needed repeated radiator repairs. Fingers crossed that I don't go thru this. I've got a '22 that had a December 21 build date. But I've seen 22 and 23's with leaks as well. I've got 4500 miles on mine so for (purchase date 4/20/22).
Just bought mine last week, 22 Blazer RS with 16k miles and the radiator was leaking. Brought it in yesterday and they replaced it in a few hours. Hope this helps

Bottom left hand side(driver) of my radiator is leaking at the seam. Start there. Don't take to dealer. Do yourself and use trusted aftermarket brands, not oe. Dealers charge 4 to 8 hours of labor. When it's a 2 hour job. They say the sensors fail. If you unplug the neg battery cable for 10 minutes, it resets electronics. You'll have to clear the codes but gm doesn't want you to know these tricks. They'll nickle and dime you. Early this year I had the same sensor throw check engine and that's what I did from experience.

2022 Blazer RS-purchased brand new just at 2 years ago & just reached 30k miles- never noticed a leak in my garage, never had a sensor light come on, suv never ran hot. Recently got an oil change and was told my coolant level was really low, turns out there is a crack in the radiator :(. Luckily it was still covered under warranty… super disappointed, considering new options for next year. I have always been team #Chevy, but they must do better.

Thank you for the reply and insight. I’ll check for that and see if anything is there! I find it crazy that it isn’t a recall and after 36,000 miles isn’t covered…at least that’s what we were told. I figured it would be part of the power train warranty since it’s part of the operation of the motor. It’s the V6 btw.
You’re lucky if that’s the only problem you have had and agree it’s been my favorite car especially long distance! I just had engine light come on again and now it’s the other catalytic converter!😠 the other side all brand new! Plus new radiator and thermostat! I buy new so I don’t have to go to shop every other month!

If your coolant level is low enough, the water pump may not be getting enough coolant to turn the pump properly. That in itself can be an issue because the belt that turns the pulleys to those components, the power steering pump included, can be affected. The power assist may have thrown a code because the water pump faulted due to a lack of fluid. Keep in mind, although you've added coolant off and on, the whole system operates in a pressure cooker, so any drop in pressure due to the slow coolant leak can cause the ECM to throw a code. The code may not mean a catastrophic event took place, but it does mean that something is happening and become aware.
I'm replacing my 4th radiator in my 2020 Blazer. This will be the 5th radiator in 4 years this car has had. All OEM's plus original leaked from upper seam on driver's side. This time I'm going with an aftermarket radiator. Screw GM for taking advantage of consumers knowing this problem exits and does nothing about replacing the manufactured defective radiators. And good luck switching to all electric vehicles by 2035. We'll see how that goes.

im on my 2nd radiator and the first one was done about 6 months of having it. It’s a 1 year and 6 months and they need to replace it again. The first time they told me it was a common problem and replacement with a better one but here we are again.

Is GM paying for all these multiple replacements, or are you footing the bill?
They told me since the first one was replace within bumper to bumper warranty, the radiator warranty ended on 36,000. So no warranty on the first replacement. Now that it is out of bumper to bumper warranty my extended warranty is covering and I have two years unlimited miles warranty (make sense of that bs) but I’m paying for the labor cost that is not covered due that the extended warranty has a cap on labor price and of course the dealer labor cost is high.

I have a 19 blazer and my radiator was the same issue only about 23 to 24,000 at the time. My warranty covered it and that's save me 1,400. I've also had to replace tires. The factory one were junk and wore uneven with being AWD and or 4x4 I had to replace them all at same time so there was another 1,100 bucks I do feel the radiator should be a recall!

I have a 2020 blazer (bought it new) and had to get my radiator replaced, as I was having the same issue around 48,000. Took it to the dealership, because my check engine light was coming on and was told I was completely out of coolant. Did not see any signs of leaks etc. Repair cost was a little over $2,000. I also feel that this is a manufacturing part issue (perhaps pandemic part) and there should be a recall. GM should have a recall on this radiator issue!! These vehicles costs too much to be having these major issues at these low mileage.

By my 5th radiator I got smart. Had aftermarket put in. Much cheaper than OEM and comes with 10 year warranty instead of just one year with OEM.

I have a 2021 Blazer at the dealer now. Radiator replaced while under warranty 16 months later leaking again. I have never had an issue with Radiators so frequently till now. $2000. Is the cost. I am hesitant to pay to replace warranty work ... Should be a recall I bet!

Had it checked out at the dealership, told it was leaking no pressure test confirmed. No visible leaks at home, have to add coolant every once in a while and I can smell it. Now we are getting the engine lights TC off, Steering assist reduced be careful message. It all started with a CEL and we had it looked at and was told we needed a new radiator but it would cost over $1200. The car has 48,000 miles on it and this started around 42,000. We bought this for a family as a brand new car and it’s unbelievable. We love the car but we are scared for the reliability and safety of owning it. Also the cost to repair issues that happen on there own that seem like a manufacture defect is a real concern.
2019 Blazer with 33481 miles on my second radiator.

So you replaced your radiator?
