I did this. I loomed them separate, but i only separated the wires about 6 inches past the last coil wire and loomed separate. I took it on a test drive for an hour and a half and it did great...told customer to come get it and it happened again. P0300 and P050D this time. Do i need to completely separate the wires all together from the coil wires? I have wasted so much time on this Blazer, I am about to wash my hands of the thing.

I am not a mechanic by anymeans so i am unsure how far you need to separate them or how far my mechanic separated them. In my experience, I never got any other codes other than P0128 and the steering assist reduced message. Sorry to hear about all the issues youve had with that blazer.

Same issue. 2020 Blazer, 65,000 miles Temp stuck on cold, ac doesn’t work and driving assistance off. Fix: like others posted, I replaced temp sensor fuse and disconnected, reconnected the negative cable on battery and it is working fine
You say you replaced your temp sensor fuse? I replaced my ambient temp sensor....but I see no fuse listed in the Owners manual or in this forum. I've disconnected and reconnected the negative cable on my battery and it flashes the correct temp and then goes back to -40 degrees.

If there is a fuse I need to check, can you please direct me as to which fuse you replaced? What is it called in the Owners Manual? I'll find the location from the diagram once I know what fuse I should be looking for.

Also, as I connected my FIXD scanner to the car, it gives me the correct ambient temperature through the OBDII scanner tool.....it seems to just be the AC unit is getting the wrong data...although my car also keeps telling me "Icy Conditions are possible. Drive carefully." and I can't get that off my dash to be able to go through my car settings and turn off that warning.

This tells me the sensor is actually fine as it gets to where the ODBII sees it's temp...but the data goes bad as it gets to a control module that controls how my Blazer wants to run and tells my AC that it's -40 degrees.

Checking in 2020 3.6 just started having this issue yesterday. Temp gauge pegged at zero and the ac is just blowing non cold air. I’ve read it’s due to a bad coolant temp sensor, since the car doesn’t know the temp it failsafes itself, disables the ac, sets the radiator fans to max to ensure safe coolant temps. Not sure if that’s what’s happening to all of ours. I’m at 102k miles
So did you ever get it fixed

Wow, this is so crazy that everyone is experiencing this with their Blazer. I am experiencing the same thing, radiatior fan is so loud, a/c does not work and the steering assist message is on whenever I turn the car on. I was informed that it might be the thermostat sensor. I called the dealership and looked on Chevy app for any recalls and it was none, because I cannot believe a fairly new car is having thermostat issues. I
are there any updates ,,, where you able to get fixed....my 2020 started the same thing today!

If enough of us contact the NHTSA about it and they start investigations on each of our cases, it should become a recall. Even if you already paid to have it repaired, if it becomes a recall, you would get reimbursed what you spent to fix it!

Here's where i submitted my investigation case:

I submitted a case as well. Thank you for providing this. The local shop did the wire separating fix on my vehicle free as a "trial" for other future customers. I am less worried about being reimbursed but would rather have this be recalled for everyone's sake. EASILY the biggest complaint with these Blazers.

Hi all I've been having the same issues. At 2 year mark my ac went out. Compressor locked up. 1500.00. Then the steering assist with no air temp at C. Changed the temp control sensor. Fine for a bit. Then it happened again. Changed thermostat. That last 7months. Then this past weekend. Drove 1/2 mile. The beeping and said the car was over heating.....get out. Its not over heating. So took it to shop. They said the thermostat was stuck closed. 1000.00 and a tow and thats where Im at. Im ready to trade this thing in. I love the vehicle itself but has caused me too much money and time already. Plus I do not feel I can trust it. Its sad cause when I trade it, it will not be for another chevy.

I just had a radiator replaced in my 2020 Blazer this will be the 3rd radiator at 92k miles. Now I'm having the same issue as you all are. They faulty thermostat and I will have them check my temperature sensor while they are there. Should I have it replaced rite away. This is amajor fix as was the radiator.

So what was the fix on yours? I am having the same issue. I replaced both the thermostat and the coolant temp sensor and then after I am now getting the same codes as you did. Did you separate the harness wires??? Any help would be great

As the title suggests, the original problem was the temperature gauge would read cold at all times and the ac was inoperative. The fans did not run at all times.

The thermostat was replaced. The coolant temperature sensor was checked and tested out fine.

The original concern was fixed after installing the new thermostat. Now the temperature gauge registers, and ac is working properly.

Now other issues were introduced that have me scratching my head. Upon rapid acceleration the check engine light blinks and also messages indicating "steering assist is reduced drive with care" and service parking brake appears. The car will not act upon slow acceleration or coasting.

I'm getting codes:
P0300-Random misfire
U0415-Invalid Data Received from Electronic Brake Control Module
U0401- Invalid Data Received from Engine Control Module

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
