I have it. Works ok. I still need to plug in my iPhone to use car play, so if not using car play the wireless charging is convenient.

I'm glad to have it. I use the bluetooth a lot to play music and my phone gets charged, which is important.

Does it charge all smart phones? I have it, I put my iPhone 7plus on it, and the car's display shows it's charging, but my phone's display doesn't.

I don’t believe wireless charging came I till the iPhone 8

Depends on your phone and the charger plate (not sure max capacity) but wireless is almost always slower than plug in.
