Hello all,

I’m trying to give my Blazer a new look by painting the metallic/silver plastic pieces near the bottom of the front and rear bumper. I already picked up a few cans of Rustoleums trim paint and am currently waiting for the weather to improve to get out there. Small problem… I have no idea how to take off the pieces to paint them and I’ve scoured the web and there isn’t and guides or YouTube videos on how to do it. I hope I don’t have to remove the full bumper to paint them. Has anyone done it already?

Thanks

not sure how they come off but if it were me i would either tape it off or have the pieces wrapped

Yeah I ended up taping off and masking to paint the pieces. Used about 1 can of Rustoleums trim paint giving 4 coats. I attempted taking off the pieces first but it was a pain as some clips were in real awkward spots making it near impossible to take off (I don’t have a jack, ramp, etc). Came out pretty good I think.
