Ever seen seeing the initial batch of 2018 Blazer interior pictures I couldn't help but notice how out of place the steering wheel looks. It stands out more with the center console and dashboard looking more Camaro-like. Not a good look to me. Compare this to the new CX-9 and quickly you might realize that Chevy has some more work to do. I don't know if this was a case of poor design or cleaning up the parts bin, but i'm not a fan.

How about everyone in this community?

P.S.
Who knows, maybe Chevy will listen to us ;)

Fingers crossed that this is just the trim in base spec, and that there will be more luxurious options higher up. Pretty disappointed that they've borrowed so many components from the Camaro, rather than refreshing styling cues seen in the K5.

Its pretty minimalistic, but not uncommon for a first generation crossover. Doesn't look like they have kept any of the DNA from the previous gen models, but I guess that's what happens when you make a high volume, mass market vehicle.

Saw the new LR2 Colorado that's giving me confidence that Chevy knows whats good for them and customers.
Products like this need to cater to the average buyer, to them this interior should blow most others out the water.

The vast majority of buyers for the new Blazer are probably going to be middle aged parents. Doubt that we'll be seeing many from younger demographics with an interest in a family hauler. Its been catered specifically to those who want something that's sporty looking, but still practical.

actually I realized that people are very particular about the image a certain vehicle portrays and for that reason those people you explained have the Equinox and Traverse.

active safety features should play well into buying decisions because they do mitigate the chance of getting into an accident and lessen the impact in some cases.
lane change alert, forward collision alert, lane keep assist and many more are offered by GM, safety shouldn't be much of a concern IMO.

I don't think it will be an area of concern either, but it hasn't been confirmed yet whether or not the Blazer will have AEB as standard. Imo all of these kinds of safety systems should be coming free of charge.

Its a mistake imo to reserve safety systems to the high end trim levels, as even base models of new Nissans and Honda's are going in opposite direction. I would imagine it wont be long until most of these new safety features become mandatory by new regulations.
