System update

So I had a system update. After the update now whenever I start my Blazer the Navigation SD gives me "Once initialized, this Nav SD card can only be used for navigation on this vehicle." This also causes an error on my dash that tells me about the notification and I can't see anything on the dash until I confirm the Nav.

Anyone know how to fix this or initialize the SD to my Blazer?

*Update: Figured out I had to lock the SD card. There is a little switch on the side of the SD card. Once I switched it the problem went away.

how are you updating the system?
About a month after I bought the car the screen told me I needed to update the system. Then had me park my car and leave the car on for 10-15 minutes while the system updated. After the update I had the mentioned problem but was an easy fix.

Glad to hear that you fixed the problem. How did you find out that you needed to lock the SD card?

First saw it on Reddit but I also work in the car industry and called up one of my GM reps and they told me how to fix the problem as well. Never can really trust everything you see on Reddit.

That's a very good call, Reddit can be a great starting point but if you don't double check it could backfire on you.
