Just picked picked up my new Blazer this past Saturday, and noticed yesterday that when i push the "push to talk" button on the steering wheel nothing happens. I looked thru all the settings to make sure I didn't turn it off my accident but didn't see anything about it. I just wanted to make sure there is nothing i need to do before taking it back to the dearlership.

Well after doing some research I think i figured out what's going on. I was expecting the system to behave like my previous vehicle 16' malibu and our other suv 15' Buick Enclave where you can hit the push to talk and get it do things like change the radio station and things to that nature. Well looks like the version of the radio i have in the 1LT with convenience package, will only interact with your cell phone to make calls or play music stored on your phone or thru apps when you hit the push to talk button either thru android auto or just connected via bluetooth. I kinda got used to changing the SXM station with push to talk with my previous car. I'm curious is it like this with all radios in the blazer?

Does your push to talk work at all? When we picked our up, we had the same thing and found out it was because we'd never done the speech recognition set up for Google Assistant. The way we figured it out was I called the Chevy Mylink people, and a really nice rep troubleshot it with me. But you're right; with the older vehicles (I have a 2014 Impala), the voice recognition was part of the infotainment system. With the Blazer, it uses the Google version on your phone.
