So I am noticing a strange behavior. When I have the truck in sport mode and then shut off the car, the next time I turn it on it is back in 2wd mode. This does not happen when I have it in 4wd (awd) mode. Is this how it works for everyone else? Any idea why they have it like this?

It's designed that way perfectly normal, my guess is for fuel economy I do find it annoying. I usually leave it in awd so it doesn't default back to fwd because the torque steer is terrible.

Yup. My 2022 2LT does the same. 2WD/AWD stick, Sport and Offroad reset after the driving session.

It’s normal operation to switch back to 2wd from sport mode.

I have a 2022 Black RS and that is the normal operating procedure for it to reset. My 2016 maxima SR did the same thing. No issues there.
