Remote start

Possible.....I'll be getting remote start added next week.

My old HHR would always turn the fan on full blast but only for the vents, not defrost. It remembered hot or cold settings but not A/C or Defrost.

It may have a default setting. I assume you have turned the car off with the A/C running and when you remote start, the defrost vents start blowing instead of the A/C out of the vents correct? One would have to assume if it cannot remember the last settings then it'll always go to the default for the defrost vents...

Check out your Infotainment system booklet that came with your owner's manual; you can program how you want your HVAC to come on when you remote start.

Has any one had issues with the paint coming off easy? Or with rock chips?

Where in the Infotainment system booklet do you look to find programing the HVAC? I couldn't find anything.

I found it in my vehicle owner’s manual under the vehicle personalization section. You can set heated seats, front and rear defogger, and what speed you want the fan to start if you have it set to Auto.
On Infotainment screen try Settings/Vehicle then choose the option you want to adjust.

Well when it's installed aftermarket, I'm not sure all the same "features" & remote start settings will be available?🤔

I have it set to high but it does not come on high when you use the remote but it does if you go out and start the vehicle.
