Parked my 2019 blazer, opened the door, got out, locked the vehicle and the radio kept playing. This happened twice in one day. Any ideas why?

I also get this once in a while. it's happened about a dozen times over the past year or so. i have no idea what could be causing it but i usually have to start & stop the vehicle again to get it to shut off. hopefully someone knows how to fix it

I own a 2020 RS Blazer... Happened like 2 days in a row, eventually it does shut off.. Hasn't happened since...

This happened to us - then a day or 2 later, had a popup on the screen - that there was an update to the software. Took 2 tires to get the update to apply. But then radio shut off when door opened.

This started happening to me suddenly about a month ago. It's very unnerving as you worry it's going to drain the battery. It did it consistently for me once it randomly started doing it. Shortly after this started, I got notified on my screen console that the software needed to be updated on my 2020 Blazer. I clicked ok to start the update, shut the vehicle and went inside. Next time I used the Blazer, the radio now shuts off as normal when you exit the vehicle and shut the door. So net is, try updating the software and it may stop doing that. What is odd to me is why it suddenly started doing it.
They replaced my window motor for this issue:
This happened to my brand new Blazer. Called service and made an appointment. Along with my check engine light and parking brake service indicator. In the meantime I figured it out. The radio needs an update. I found it in settings just by messing around. Service could have told me.
Yep, what Tiffany said ... your radio remains on with an indicator that it needs an update. I believe it needs to be outside, shut off, without interruption for 12-15 minutes. It will guide you through the procedure. There isn't anything that you need to do, other than start the update.
Tiffany and ToPar are correct. This happened to my 2019 Blazer after a software update around a month ago. Then there was another software update 10-days ago that corrected the issue. Haven't had the problem with the radio staying on since last Monday 2/8/21.
