Question about snow chains.

Hello all,
I am new to the forum. I have a 2019 white RS.
I live Southern California, so I didn't spring for the AWD (regretting it now). Winter is coming, and there are some trips planned to snowy regions nearby.

This is what is written in the manual:

"If the vehicle has a tire size other than 235/65R18, do not use tire chains. There is not enough clearance. Tire chains used on a vehicle without the proper amount of clearance can cause damage to the brakes, suspension, or other vehicle parts. The area damaged by the tire chains could cause loss of control and a crash. Use another type of traction device only if its manufacturer recommends it for the vehicle's tire size combination and road conditions. Follow that manufacturer's instructions. To avoid vehicle damage, drive slow and readjust or remove the traction device if it contacts the vehicle. Do not spin the wheels. If traction devices are used, install them on the front tires. "

The RS tire size is 235/55R20. Am I out of luck? I just can't use snow chains and go somewhere snowy?

Not sure what to do.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Statement is correct. wouldn't be enough clearance in the fenders.
get yourself some 18inch steel rims and a decent set of studded snow tires and you'll be fine.
