That sounds nice. I guess if they do a good job, and use high quality oil, and filter. You would just have to avoid all the up sell tactics.Got free oil changes for life at the dealer when purchased. They said to come in every 5000 miles, so that is what I will do.
IMO NEVER let the dealer touch your vehicle....they will screw something up and you will be back in there for warranty work...and i certainly never use the first free oil change...lolThose that performed their own first oil change, your dealer did not include a first oil change?
use what is listed in your owners manual...this filter has a thicker material canister because you have a high pressure oil pump....no bursting of the filter....bad thing
- So it's alright to use a pf63 instead of a UPF63r? Our blazers manual only mentions the UPF63r. All the dealers in my area dont use the filter listed in the manual either. I'm unable able to find out the difference, besides the upf63r doesn't burst as easily under high pressure. I dont trust dealers in my area to do an oil change. They only threaded in my drain plug on my impala a couple of turns, leaked huge puddle in my garage. So I'm just following the manual so I can prove I put the filter in gm says to so if I have to have warranty work they cant deny any claim. I can easily see the dealers saying your x problem is not covered because you have not been using the filter that's recommended for your vehicle. They dont tighten oil drain plugs so yea.
the black one is an upgrade...thicker canister because of the high pressure oil pump you have...lessens possible bursting of the filterThe UPF63R is black. I have not done my first oil change but I crawled under there is a blue filter on from the factory. Looks alot the pf63e like I use on my 17 Impala.
i get my filter from ROCK Auto...never a problemThe manual I downloaded from My Chevrolet says it should be an AC Delco PF63e (GM Part# 19330000). This is for the v6.
When I looked up UPF63r on Amazon, it said it does not fit my v6 Blazer. But the again it also said the PF63e didn’t fit ?
