New car burnt smell?

I just took delivery of my 2020 AWD RS. It had four miles on it. After adding seven more to get to my garage, I noticed a strong burnt rubber smell when exiting the vehicle. I took a short drive to the post office the following day (another four miles roundtrip) and noticed the same smell in the garage. Is this some sort of break-in period and after 50 or so miles, the smell goes away? I appreciate any info given.

I noticed this also, after 3,000 miles i can barely smell it in the garage when i walk in, kinda smells like hot metal or hot paint, with a hint of burnt rubber. I thinks its normal.
Well service wanted to keep the car to check the smell out, but my salesman told me it's normal and would dissipate after 100 miles. I added five miles to the ODO to get it past 50 and noticed the smell was barely present when I exited the vehicle. I'm satisfied that it's a break-in smell.

Mine only had a few miles on it as well and I thought it caught on fire when test driving it. The dealer told me that it was normal to smell like that in the beginning until coatings burn off. The smell only lasted for a few miles.

Definitely normal occurrence. Though you have to maintain the smell and the interior of your car.
