We'll see, right now its very faint and who knows- it may go away in warmer temps or with age. I leased acadia (same platform) prior and had no rattles in 3 years. I think the infotainment freeze is more concerning but I'm hoping an OTA update will fix that.rattle is nothing to worry about. Plastic interior. it's going to rattle. i find if the music is up a little it does that. it's either the plastic or it the rear spoiler above the back window. every vehicle has a rattle, unless you notice it effecting how it drives, safety, wheels falling off, you'll never get rid of them.
what "fix" was proposed for the screen when it was in for warranty service?@SYJ215 - This is how it all started for me, rear suspension was making ''thumping noises'' and the radio kept freezing... sorry to say but this never got better for me and it spent LOTS of time at the dealership.
GM reached out to me 2 weeks ago as i was still deciding if i wanted another one of their car and provided a very aggressive offer. Thumbs up to GM corporate office here and the dealership for having taken care of this appropriately.
As i said in earlier post i am bittersweet with this whole thing as both me and my wife loved the Blazer.
We finally decided on an XT6 since we have 3 kids it is more roomy, nothing like the blazer but still a nice SUV.
One thing im sure is by reading this and other thread on this forum there are issues that need to be addressed with the Blazer.
Thank you everyone for sharing and best to luck.
I have appt scheduled- I will add the sound Im hearing to the list. I know dealers are notorious for supposedly not hearing or finding rattles and squeaks. I am really hoping there are TSBs out for the blazer. No fix, they changed the radio all together seems to be the solution.
First and foremost you cannot keep dealing with the dealer if you havent called chevy. I called chevy after ONE visit in which I felt slighted by the dealership's effort to resolve my issues. Saw a total attitude change and my vehicle was handled by a more senior advisor who personally oversaw the repair efforts.First off let me start by saying this is a bittersweet review....
I've been the owner of a Blazer RS black on black for a little over 7 months now. Love the look of the car and the handling but I have had a lot of problems with it.
1- Intermittent power failure - Usb will stop charging and will get messages that my GPS is missing an SD card when its never been removed...
2- Doors will not lock 50% of the time, cant put my finger on it nor can the dealer....(Wife literally had to climb in the car from the trunk - She was happy....)
3- Rattle in the central console - Dealer cant locate the source but the advisors did acknowledge the noise....
4- New from this week end : Major water leak from the roof... ended up with a few inches of water in my cup holders and on the seats....
Took it to the dealer a half dozen time.... they can never seem to find anything wrong with it... good thing I have been documenting everything that is happening with pictures and video's.
Heading back tomorrow morning for them to look at again... I am starting to be very irritated with the whole thing...the advisors constantly telling me that since its a new car/models they have minimal info from GM...
I would appreciate anyone who has experienced similar issues to share in this thread please.
Thank you,
Jon
No offense, but forget about facebook- call chevy customer service.I too love the look & feel of my RS, but in the shop at 2 months & 1400 miles is ridiculous. They said it was window motor and ordered the part. Part has not come in, but that problem went away and my camera (side view) stopped working. Also a couple false alerts from collision detection system with auto braking.
Just don't feel very good about my 46k vehicle purchase.
Chevrolet on FB messenger is a joke, they responded after a few days and said I was assigned a case agent Angelika. Who I have yet to hear from and have no contact information for.
Always bought GM (last 4 new vehicles) but feel burned, think this is the last & will recommend others stay away!

Radio (infotainment) stays on after exiting vehicle...
Today my infotainment system stopped turning off when I turn off the vehicle and exit. Have tried a few things including: removed USB drive with music disconnected cell phone removed vehicle profile tried opening & closing all doors several times (see below)* called onstar for remote diag...www.chevyblazer.org
quality issues arent excusable, but design issues are present at the time of the test drive. I don't think they can be equated. I don't have many PRACTICAL complaints about the blazer at all. In terms of ride, handling, visibility, quietness, etc. I think it's just fine. Fortunately for me it appears all but one of my complaints was properly addressed by the dealer.2019 Premier with 2500 miles. I provided a laundry list of issues to the service tech, yesterday. 25 items, only a few serious ones. Most items on the list are "snowball" items. Easy to do with this vehicle. There are so many things I dislike about it. I could easily list another 25 items that are design dislikes but the dealer wont do anything about those. Buyers remorse BIG TIME on this one. Very expensive rattle trap, IMO. Stuck with for 36 more months..............sweet!
