First off let me start by saying this is a bittersweet review....
I've been the owner of a Blazer RS black on black for a little over 7 months now. Love the look of the car and the handling but I have had a lot of problems with it.

1- Intermittent power failure - Usb will stop charging and will get messages that my GPS is missing an SD card when its never been removed...
2- Doors will not lock 50% of the time, cant put my finger on it nor can the dealer....(Wife literally had to climb in the car from the trunk - She was happy ....)
3- Rattle in the central console - Dealer cant locate the source but the advisors did acknowledge the noise....
4- New from this week end : Major water leak from the roof... ended up with a few inches of water in my cup holders and on the seats....

Took it to the dealer a half dozen time.... they can never seem to find anything wrong with it... good thing I have been documenting everything that is happening with pictures and video's.

Heading back tomorrow morning for them to look at again... I am starting to be very irritated with the whole thing...the advisors constantly telling me that since its a new car/models they have minimal info from GM...

I would appreciate anyone who has experienced similar issues to share in this thread please.

Thank you,

Jon

Sorry to hear about all the problems. I have had mine (White RS) for just about 5 months now and haven't had a problem. My guess would be because of the GM strike the advisors can't really help you much since they can't get anything from GM. The strike is over but might take a bit for GM to catch back up.

Hopefully you can get the water leak figured out.. that doesn't sound good!
I had endless rattles. Similar to others on the forum. I made it less than 2 months before taking the bath that was trading it in ?
Rattles won't stop ready to trade it in. Its a beautiful vehicle Hate All the Rattles I'm a Vet with PTSD and this thing Sucks

Rattles in my 2019 Blazer 3LT also USB power Failure many times Beautiful vehicle but I can't take all the Rattles as a PTSD Vet its driving me Nuts
Thanks for the feedback,

Quick Update :
1- Water leak via the rooftop was due per the advisor on heavy rain.... unbelievable.
2- This past week they changed 2 radio... 1 was rebooting randomly and the other was DOA... im speechless
3- Rattle is still present, they dont know how to fix it... no bulletins per the advisors.

I am ready to trade this in and take the hit at this time... too bad we dont have a lemon law in canada cause this would absolutely qualify as one.

Thanks,

Jon
Well that stinks Jon. I'm taking mine in Friday to start the repair process. Ill keep you all posted. Mine is a Very Early Run VIN #625 assembly number. hope all goes well. Im going to try Jerry's Idea of tape on clips in the A-B Pillar when it comes back from GM if it all keeps rattling
Update # 2 and last one : Meeting with the owners of the dealership this Monday for them to take this back.
1- They were to change the radio again last week but now i am told its back ordered indefinitely....this means that the radio just turns off randomly, resets itself and USB connections go off randomly as well.
2- Water leak i have experienced a few weeks back is now translating into this strong mildew smell in the car which i would guess is mold so really not looking to have my kids sitting in there too long.

I have had it with this car, way too many issues too early.

Thanks for everyone's feedback, i wish this had turned differently .
Cheers,

Jon

If you got the full protection plan, believe there's something in there where in certain circumstances, dealer has to take it back, not a matter of will they. also, Buyers Remorse I believe is a thing in Canada.
man, this isnt encouraging. I had mine less than a week. I have noticed a rattle from the rear- can't tell the source though. Also had screen freezing already- both times it just unfroze after a minute or two.
@SYJ215 - This is how it all started for me, rear suspension was making ''thumping noises'' and the radio kept freezing... sorry to say but this never got better for me and it spent LOTS of time at the dealership.

GM reached out to me 2 weeks ago as i was still deciding if i wanted another one of their car and provided a very aggressive offer. Thumbs up to GM corporate office here and the dealership for having taken care of this appropriately.

As i said in earlier post i am bittersweet with this whole thing as both me and my wife loved the Blazer.
We finally decided on an XT6 since we have 3 kids it is more roomy, nothing like the blazer but still a nice SUV.

One thing im sure is by reading this and other thread on this forum there are issues that need to be addressed with the Blazer.

Thank you everyone for sharing and best to luck.

rattle is nothing to worry about. Plastic interior. it's going to rattle. i find if the music is up a little it does that. it's either the plastic or it the rear spoiler above the back window. every vehicle has a rattle, unless you notice it effecting how it drives, safety, wheels falling off, you'll never get rid of them.

We'll see, right now its very faint and who knows- it may go away in warmer temps or with age. I leased acadia (same platform) prior and had no rattles in 3 years. I think the infotainment freeze is more concerning but I'm hoping an OTA update will fix that.

what "fix" was proposed for the screen when it was in for warranty service?
No fix, they changed the radio all together seems to be the solution.

I have appt scheduled- I will add the sound Im hearing to the list. I know dealers are notorious for supposedly not hearing or finding rattles and squeaks. I am really hoping there are TSBs out for the blazer.

I'm sorry. I won't accept a rattle in a car these days. I have a 2006 Corvette. No rattles. I've also owned recently two Volvo's. No rattles. My wife has owned Honda's recently. No rattles. They all have plastic in them. If a "rattle" last more than a week, I take in in to the dealer for "repair". Not acceptable these days. Too many other good options out there.

Jon, I also have some serious issues. While going down the road my gauges all drop to zero. The low fuel light comes on. The service stabilitrak warning and several other warnings start to flash. This has happened on more than four occasions. I have had it in the dealership each time. Two times they “found the issue” a wire under the drivers seat was pinched. Oh yea...the seat would move back and forth and lay down while I was driving. Safe, right?
Could you please tell me the steps you took to return the car. As much as I hate too,I think this is what I will have to do. I love the look of this vehicle!!
Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
I too love the look & feel of my RS, but in the shop at 2 months & 1400 miles is ridiculous. They said it was window motor and ordered the part. Part has not come in, but that problem went away and my camera (side view) stopped working. Also a couple false alerts from collision detection system with auto braking.

Just don't feel very good about my 46k vehicle purchase.

Chevrolet on FB messenger is a joke, they responded after a few days and said I was assigned a case agent Angelika. Who I have yet to hear from and have no contact information for.

Always bought GM (last 4 new vehicles) but feel burned, think this is the last & will recommend others stay away!

First and foremost you cannot keep dealing with the dealer if you havent called chevy. I called chevy after ONE visit in which I felt slighted by the dealership's effort to resolve my issues. Saw a total attitude change and my vehicle was handled by a more senior advisor who personally oversaw the repair efforts.
