I'm guessing at most it will be $100 and they will come to my place of work and do it. Otherwise I'm sure I can sand it down myself and do some touch up paint. But for $100 I'd rather have it professionally done and look good.Curious to know what quotes you're getting as it doesn't seem that bad, even if touched up in the most professional way possible.
If you can get someone to do it for $100 that's not bad at all. Looks like a quick fix.I'm guessing at most it will be $100 and they will come to my place of work and do it. Got the first quote back and they want $250 for that little damage.. Crazy. If you can get someone to do it for $100 that's not bad at all. Looks like a quick fix.
That does seem steep, is that quote from the dealership?Got the first quote back and they want $250 for that little damage.. Crazy.
That's crazy for a scrape like that. Are you going to get an estimate from somewhere else?Got the first quote back and they want $250 for that little damage.. Crazy.
Yeah, I got another place getting me a quote but they want to see the Rim and I haven't had a chance to get there with the GM strike my work schedule has been crazy. Hopefully since that has ended that it doesn't take too long for GM to get caught back up.That's crazy for a scrape like that. Are you going to get an estimate from somewhere else?
She was parallel parking and said the curb was broken and had a piece of concrete sticking out that just happen to hit the rim perfect when she was parking. She even took a picture of the curb.. ?.Can you get touch up paint for that? Seems it won't be long before more damage, unless she learns to use the cameras. Those cameras should come on automagicly when below 5 mph.
I hear ya, I'd rather spend the extra bit of money as well, I can't trust myself with stuff like that haha. If your dealer has an extra rim that's definitely an easy solution too.She was parallel parking and said the curb was broken and had a piece of concrete sticking out that just happen to hit the rim perfect when she was parking. Found some kits on Amazon that come with sandpaper and filler. I can easily get touch up paint to match the rim but I'm not an expert at this so I'm sure my first time wouldn't be up to my standards of how I want it too be done so I'd rather pay the extra $$ to have it done by someone that has experience.
Nice! I haven't gotten mine fixed yet. After I got the first quote I put it on the back burner and am waiting till spring to really do anything more.Late reply but I did the same to mine in a parking lot, while I was having an argument with the wife I didn’t pay attention and drove straight into a curb, needless to say she wasn’t too happy, Looked exactly like yours. Had a wheel and tire repair company come out and fixed it for $100 and looks perfect! Shop around for some prices.
