LED Upgrade

Just picked up my Blazer last week and finished my LED swap today. I didn’t see a ton of links or how-tos so here is everything I learned!

Reverse Bulbs;
LASFIT 921 912 LED Bulb Reverse... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081YL2Q2W?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Directions - These are pretty self-explanatory to replace. Just pop the covers off on the trunk and swap them out. The OEMs do no like to be removed so you might need a pair of pliers to get them twisted out.

Tail Lights:
VEHICODE 7440 7443 Red LED Bulb... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B63RZ3QF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Directions - Pop off the covers in the inside of the trunk and you'll have 2 screws to remove. Once you have those off get a good grip and give it a good yank. From there these bulbs are plug and play with a resistor so just throw the tails back on and screw them in. Be careful to not scratch the paint with the bottom clip insert when reinstalling.

Front turns:
OXILAM 7440 LED Bulbs Amber... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q8RZRZV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Directions - These were the hardest out of everything. Most of the bulbs I tried didn’t fit because of how the bulbs are installed, or wouldn’t stay in the socket because they were 7440/7444. That’s why these bulbs worked the best since they are 7440 only. To install, you have to remove 4 T10 torx screws in the front of the wheel well and peel back the carpet liner. Then you reach right in and twist out the light grey socket. If you shine a flashlight directly into the bumper you’ll see this. After that just swap the bulbs and you’re good to go.
WARNING If you try to install one of the multi-fitment bulbs the socket might not hold them in place and you’ll end up having to fish the bulb out of the housing which is a huge pain, trust me.

Front Reflectors:
iJDMTOY Smoked Lens 27-SMD Amber... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WW5ZS4N?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Directions - The install for these is pretty well-documented but here’s a quick overview. I did these through the hood by reaching my arm through and popping them out, but you can also pop these out when you have the carpet pulled out for the front turns. You then just twist the old housing off the bulb and then pull the bulb out. Pop the new LED fixture in and snap it into the trim and you’re good to go.

Mirror Sequential LEDs:
Safego LED Side Mirror Marker... Amazon.com

Directions: This is also pretty well-documented, bet here’s another quick overview. Pry the mirrors off of their housings within the assembly and disconnect the wires. I found it easiest to leave the heated mirror pins at the top plugged in so I didn’t risk breaking them off. Then take the 4 phillips head screws out and pry the housing apart. From here you can pull the old light off and plug the new one in and then put it all back together.

The pics at night don’t do it justice. The upgrade was totally worth it and I’m glad I did it. Hopefully this helps anyone else out there that wants to do the same.
