Kicker sound system

So I had posted awhile back about trying to put a sound system in my 2020 rs. I finally got my harness all plug and play into the factory Bose unit. Thanks to LLJ customs. I also for those people wondering about that “chime” that they were trying to get rid of. I also got a disablement part that plugs to the noise cancelling so that the chime everyone was annoyed by does not sound through the speakers. Everything has been smooth

Thanks for the heads up! I've been seeing the posts about the chime too & was worried the LLJ harness might have the chime also. Will definitely be ordering my harness as soon as I have some extra cash!

So this is what they made and sent me. All plug and play. The small plug on the right is the noise cancellation harness that eliminates the chimes from going through the sound system. I installed a amp and subwoofer. The sound is clean

Thanks for posting @Ray25, I initiated a thread last year about this and will now order one to see if it works for my situation.

@Ray25, I forgot to ask, did you add an amp to your factory door/dash speakers or just for the bass speakers? I know that is where my problem stems from, not the bass speakers.
Yeah it’s worth it. You can also contact LLJ customs to configure your harness to what you want and they will make it happen. But since the Bose already has an amp to supply good bass I just wanted to add a subwoofer to give it more of a deep bass sound. But yes I did add an amp with the subwoofer. Bose and kicker together makes a crisp clear and really good bass I’ve gotten many compliments so far.
Where'd you mount the sub amp? and how'd you go about running the power for the sub amp? I'm coming from a bmw as my previous car and the battery was in the trunk so it made amp installs a breeze.
So in the blazer. There is some storage room around the spare tire area when lifting the hatch the sub is sitting on. I have the amp in that storage area. So as far as the power I ran it from the front there is a rubber grommet on the passenger side firewall where I ran the power to the amp. Then with the power, rca, and remote wire I ran them along the passenger side to the back. Easy install took me about 20 mins.

Hey, question for you guys that have aftermarket subwoofers in your blazers. so ive been looking into getting a subwoofer put into mine & im concerned about the start/stop feature built into the blazer. the voltage on my 2020 blazer rs drops well below 12 volts whenever im stopped at a stop light. as far as i can tell this will affect the amplifiers performance, possibly cutting out the subwoofer. does anyone have this problem currently?? or did you somehow bypass the start/stop feature? kicker has an amp that still performs well all the way down to 8volts & is specifically built for start/stop vehicles. Is this something I should buy? Thanks
What if yu dont have Bose have a 2020 4 cylinder does this model have the noise cancellation problem?

Yes Bose and non Bose have that problem. Contact LLJ customs they should have a harness for your factory unit and a harness for the noise canceling issue.
I have a 2020 RS without the Bose, and am thinking about upgrading the speakers... they sound decent until you try to turn them up too much then they start lacking. Curious if anyone knows the output wattage from the stock head unit (non-bose). I have a little sony equializer that adds some power I used in my last car, I think it outputs about 18-20watts rms but sounds like it would be a pain to install in this car. If it's going to be too much of a hassle I'll just throw a sub in the trunk, but would love to replace the factory speakers with some low wattage JL's and see if it helps

How much was the harness? I've checked out the website but don't know what configuration I need.

It depends on the harness you want and what line output converter you get. But contact them and see what best fit your needs mine was about 80 dollars. And that was just for a 2 channel to add a sub. But I’m switching to a full system harness soon.

Yeah im trying to add a 2 channel sub. The harness they said I needed was $140. I don't know if there just trying to upsell me or what.

If you're buying a harness with an LOC that price sounds about right, you'll need it if your amp doesnt have speaker level inputs. I'd recommend the LC2I or the LC2I PRO if you want to splurge abit, both LOC's are from a very reputable brand.
Do you have a Bose or non Bose? Maybe that’s the reason? That price I’m sure a link2 or a loc 2i is what was recommended with the harness.
Also if you do order from LLJ customs the lead time on the harness are crazy with well worth the wait i just ordered a full system harness for my wavtech link6 to amplify my 2 l7 subs aswell as my stock Bose speakers not to mention I’ve added super tweeters and LLJ customs made it real easy.

I would think if the battery voltage is low the start stop doesn’t activate. I have a system in my f150 and the start stop doesn’t “work” anymore because of the current draw...that was a nice add on I didn’t expect
