Is this light for the Blazer's tailgate?

I didn't realize Chevy put this light underneath the back of the Blazer, it's a pretty nice touch. I assume it's for the tailgate sensor?

Yes it’s for the tailgate sensor. Directs where to kick your foot to open hands free.

Your salesman did not explain this to you? Mine explained and demonstrated just about every feature of the car. Took some time but it was worth it.

If it was brought up it definitely slipped my mind. But I'm sure you had a better salesperson than I did.
A great feature. I have my Blazer parked in my garage and periodically look over that the floor and see the light on then goes off. Then comes in again and goes off. The Key Fob is 20ft away. Is this normal? Thanks
Same here…

I covered my fob with a piece of clothing to test it. Light quit coming on. Same with moving the fob to a drawer went off. Do must be sensitive. Great feature tho

I had to turn my hands free gate sensor off it opened while I was washing it and spayed the inside then, I would be unloading the store cart and it came down on my head.
