I have 829 miles on my 2020 Blazer. The infotainment screen locks and will not allow you to use the buttons or touch screen. It continues to play after the car shuts off, exit the vehicle and lock doors. Eventually it will reset but annoying when you can’t pull over to turn the car off. Checked for updates, don’t plug my phone in. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm just over 5k miles and this happens to me a few times a month. It usually manifests by the left side channel changing paddles on the back of the steering wheel not working at first, and then by the home screen freezing and not changing to nav, audio, etc - but whatever the radio is on still plays. I can turn it off, or select other modes but nothing works. Radio volume is the only thing still working. Usually have to park, turn the car off and wait a few hours for everything to reset. My guess is Linux or whatever OS they run the Infotainment system on is hung and has to go through a predetermined timeout period and reboot to clear itself. Very annoying.

With 1,000 miles on my 2020 Premier my infotainment screen froze. The dealer did a software update on the screen and that fixed the issue.

My 2019 does this, too (just got it in May). So far one person says radio module replacement and another says software update - hoping to hear more before I go back to the dealer who already put the wrong roof rack on AND didn't put in all the screws at that!

Not quite the same, but twice now when turning on the vehicle only half the screen came on and it was stretched. Just turning it off didn’t fix it until I got out and came back after about 5-10 minutes. The two instances were about a month apart too.
2019 RS purchases 12 months ago with just over 9k on it.

I just hit 1,000 miles on my 2020 chevy blazer. Its already had the computer module replaced. Today the infotainment screen froze on the backup camera screen. Car has been off for an hour. It is still on. Tried resetting the screen. Tried onstar, it is also frozen. Nothing works. Its quite odd driving forward but seeing the rear screen frozen. No radio. No clock, no Bluetooth.

I have a 2019 and mine did the same thing. Then the car shut down twice! Currently in the shop and GM suspects the ECM is bad but they don’t have the part!

Mine was taken back to the shop today. They are telling me they are ordering a new radio which I assume means the entire infotainment system? Honestly dont know. Anyhow on the way home from the dealership today it completely froze up again while I was on the phone. No radio, no phone, no onstar, nnothing.if only I could reboot the system when this happens. Hopefully after the new radio, it will fix. Stay tuned..I'll let you know.

Mine did the same thing when I first got it (2019 RS). They replaced the radio and it fixed it but now I’m having multiple other issues with the radio (not responsive, no volume, can’t turn volume down, kicked off Bluetooth) and I’m on my 3rd radio/computer/whatever it is they replace. It’s back at the dealer currently...

Did you have any luck? They told me it was an update and 2 days later it happened all over again. I went back today and their plans were to replace the touch screen this time (since I'm on my 3rd radio and that didn't fix it) but they were sent the wrong part. Now its a waiting game to get the right part...

Our brand new 2020 Chevy Blazer is also having radio issues. The dealer is claiming no knowledge of this issue and upon doing research online there is also a classification lawsuit that has been filed against GM for this.

We’re completely dissatisfied and disappointed with our new 2020 Chevrolet Blazer. GM needs to fix this and fix it now!

After having my 2019 in the service center for 48 days they said the radio didn’t have any problems. When I turn it off it turns back on automatically. I’m sorry but I think you may be in for ride down lemon lane. The Blazer is beautiful but not put together well at all.

They replaced the actual screen, not just the radio module for me the last time. Issues have stopped for the most part, only some slight freezing which is more of a lagged response for changing audio/volume etc, rather than the full on crashing it was doing. However, it is still kicking me off bluetooth intermittently when connected to Carplay. They are thinking it's my apple watch doing it - watch is trying to steal bluetooth connection? It will still show my call/connection on the car but my phone will not pick up the mic/speakers (only option on my phone is handheld or speakerphone) But microphone will not work for some time after it boots me off either. It also echos off my front speakers when it's about to kick me off - voice studders/echos left, right, left, right, left etc. then kicks off and sends a loud screeching sound through on the other line.

Everyone. Look up PIT5790A - it is a worldwide/GM wide bulletin for this issue. There is no fix. My dealership has told me that GM has directed them to not do anything or even take my car in again until they have some solution but right now they do not know what is causing this or how to fix. My issues started in November 2019, this bulletin was posted in November 2020 and there is still no update.
