Had to have a brand new entertainment system put in so far fingers crossed has been great. No problems since the new installation . Try the dealership again. For a new one
Same here. No repeat issues at all. Apparently the older models were built with a defective screen or radio module.

anyone had any fixes to this? I've had my radio module replaced twice now and the issue is still happening. They have no idea.

I'm booked next week again for my 9th visit since June..

I have a 2019 blazer 3lt awd. In the bottom right corner of my screen there’s a gps with a red circle and slash over it. I can still search addresses on the nav and it works fine. Just wondering why it’s has that sign on it. I’ve also had 2 instances where the screen turns completely black while driving then turns back on after a few seconds.

They held mine for a week, but finally got tech on the phone and replaced the screen only, apparently. Since then, I have not had the problem of the screen freezing. Mine rarely if ever went black - more just would not work as touch screen, and only in spurts. Whatever problem there was, it also froze the buttons beneath. But since the new screen, no problems at all.

Exactly what they did with mine (replaced the actual screen, not just the radio module). Issues haven't entirely continued, only some slight freezing, more of a lagged response for changing audio/volume etc, rather than the full on crashing it was doing. However, it is still kicking me off bluetooth intermittently when connected to Carplay. They are thinking it's my apple watch doing it - watch is trying to steal bluetooth connection? It will still show my call/connection on the car but my phone will not pick up the mic/speakers (only option on my phone is handheld or speakerphone) But microphone will not work for some time after it boots me off either.

My 2019 Chevy Blazer had been into the dealership a number of times due to the infotainment screen going blank. It often happens in the same location but not always. They've updated the software, replaced a chip and replaced the radio module(which was a new radio # and had to switch my Sirius XM for a $15 fee) and I'm now waiting on a part to switch out the USB cable that they think is shorting out. (even though I don't plug my phone in). Normally it goes blank, no radio, no screen for about 20 seconds and it all comes back. Once the screen went blank but I still had the radio, it stayed out all the way to my destination. I couldn't change the station, volume or turn the radio off. Once I turned the car off and got out of the car, the radio stayed on. I couldn't get the radio to turn off until I made a call (which didn't connect to my car) when I disconnected the call everything worked fine. I've captured it on video and sent to the dealer too. I'm now keeping a log every time something happens. So far it has happened 7 times since replacing the radio module.
The dealer seems to be baffled and grasping at straws.
Would there be any reason that it mainly happens in the same area?

same area could be your signal, how is your cell service in this area? I highly doubt it though since this is exactly what I’ve been dealing with. Could just be coincidence. I drive a lot for work (70km in a year and a half) Goes in for its 16th visit tomorrow for this issue. So far they have replaced the radio module 3 times, the screen, the USB, the noise cancellation, on star module, inspected all electrical and grounds in doors, seats and dash, and Bluetooth module and still having the issue.
GM just keeps throwing different things at them to replace and none have worked. The problem has relieved itself slightly but not entirely, it isn’t as frequent though. It is winter though so maybe the summer heat has some effect on it too. My dealership hasn’t had anyone else with this issue and GM Canada claims they haven’t either which I don’t believe so they keep trying to blame it on my phone.

I had this same problem! Last visit they told me it would take a month of it sitting there for them to diagnose the problem.
mine has been in the shop more than five times for same issue. And I was with out my car for over 40 days.
In the process of trying to invoke the lemon law. Has anyone else had any luck with this??

Everyone. Look up PIT5790A - it is a worldwide/GM wide bulletin for this issue. There is no fix. My dealership has told me that GM has directed them to not do anything or even take my car in again until they have some solution but right now they do not know what is causing this or how to fix. My issues started in November 2019, this bulletin was posted in November 2020 and there is still no update.
