I just installed a Sub & Sub Amp using the T-harness, NON Bose, Ask Me Anything

Well as someone who has had the T-harness laying around for some time I finally got around to installing everything. Coming from a BMW as my previous car with the battery in the trunk, lemme tell you this wasn't as easy of a job as I thought. Took me about 6 hours, could probably do it within 3 after doing the first one.

That said, I felt that the documentation/guides on this kind of install either seems to focus on Bose equipped cars and it just focuses on the T-harness location. I hadn't seen any info on firewall access, radio brain location, how to run the wires, etc. Anyways, I'm here with the experience, if anyone has any questions hit me up, I'll reply and try to show pics and info I used.

That would definitely be helpful if you don't mind sharing. Thanks alot.
This was a image I found on google somewhere that used. I did not try the radio 12v or radio ground wires. I tapped onto F20 fuse for amp remote and the rear speakers for my amp high level input

Has anyone installed a set of components in the front of the Blazer? I have a set of Morel Tempo Ultras on the way. I don't want to cut any factory wires if possible. I know that the front door speakers and dash speakers are just tied together, but I don't know where they tie together. My options would be to find where they split and try to install the crossovers there or pull a new wire from the dash into the door and install the crossovers in the door. I am just not so sure about that. I have heard it is hell to pull wire into the door of a newer model vehicle.
I installed a sub/amp combo in my 2020 v6 non-bose.
The clarity of the sub was always questionable to my ears after I completed the install. Everyone else said it sounded fine, which was frustrating.
Curiosity made me drop the driver's side headliner and there was a mic. I snatched it out, and drove around like that for about 12,000 miles. Sounded fine.
Suddenly, after about the 2-3 months and 12,000 miles, I have the classic ANC woes. Sub pluses and mimicks engine noise paired with rpm. Continues with radio off, until engine off.
I was shocked it started back working after this long. My first thought is to go snatch all the mics out.
So in short... only pulling one mic, might work for a while. But not forever.

Here is some pics of my power wire feed through and connection strap made from an old stainless pot lid.

Hey everyone 2021 blazer V6 here none Bose. So I read the form and y’all saying to remove passenger side mice and the anc should be disconnected? But will I still make a call using CarPlay?
Adding a 10W7 with an old school JX/1000. But that ANC is my issue. Haven’t installed amp yet but before I bust my butt and end up with a dead end I want to get it cleared up. But wait the driver side door has a rattle sound when driving. You guys found an issue? Also I just noticed that the rear muffler has two holes in it. Y’all look under your cars and see black soot near the muffle box in the rear like on the side and you will see a hole. Is that normal?

Those two holes are drain ports to drain condensation out of the exhaust. I have a rattle in my driver's side door after the harness to my auto dim mirror was installed. They said it was from some of the clips that hold the panel on that stretched and distorted after replacement. The Dealer replaced all the panel clips and I still have the rattle or chirping coming from my panel. I am going back and having a tech ride with me so he can hear what I'm hearing. I believe it's a simple fix and most likely is a loose harness or something that needs to be secured better. If it's under warranty, take it to the Dealer and get them to fix it.

these are the hole I am talking about. I thought I was about to get a whole new exhaust setup lol 😂. The door rattle has been there since day one. The car is under warranty but here in California especially inDublin California our dealershiptakes the car for a sleep over for aan oil change lol can’t afford that so I need the car unless it’s a major warranty work. I open up the driver side door, I didn’t not that the big harness that is attached to the door is loose from the connector, and so it vibrates on the connector. I will put some sound deadening on it and see if that stops it.

but back to the topic, so removing the passenger mic I should be good with anc? And still use the car to call from my cell phone?

Also did you tap into the front speakers or rear speakers for the subwoofer setup?

I have the Bose system and am happy with it, so I have no need to revise my stereo. I'm pleased with its performance. Good luck.
While your in there I would disable all mics. At first I only disabled 1 mix it seemed ok for a a few weeks until it had feedback again. After disabling all 4 mics I could definitely tell my clarity in my subs, so that means with 3 mics anc is still doing something
Can you still use the apple car play phone call while mic disabled?
