Congrats on getting your RS. Did you test out any other SUV's before deciding on the Blazer?
You can defeat the auto stop. Shift it into L, tap up to 9 and drive. It will shift normally and NOT auto stop.Congrats! Your RS looks AMAZING !!! I am also a first time Blazer & Chevrolet owner and noticed the same "meh" type attitude when reviewing forums & reviews. This car is so much different than anything else I've driven. I wasn't even in the market to buy a new car just yet - but once I saw it, I had to have it. So far the only thing I'm not loving the auto stop feature only cause it feels a bit jerky when it turns off then back on.
I think that's because everyone wanted Chevrolet to launch a Trackhawk rival or just something like it. They'll have to wait a bit longer for the Corvette SUV. Apparently Chevy is serious about it. Once it happens, I hope some of it rubs off on the Blazer.Congrats! Your RS looks AMAZING !!! Yes, I test drove Jeep Grand Cherokee and Lincoln MKX. Also looked at Jaguar F-Pace (1st choice) but after I saw the Blazer it was wrap!Congrats on getting your RS. Did you test out any other SUV's before deciding on the Blazer?
Really, I wanted to get off the groud (oncoming headlights was becoming a issue) and more space. Plus I have always wanted one.Welcome to the forum @LadyB258 and congratulations on your new RS! it really looks great in all black. What made you decide to switch from a sedan to a SUV?

Oh wow!!! Who would have thought of Manifold Cooking...CTHU!!Well if you really try you can cook while you drive, Google 'Manifold cooking '. I love my RS also, even though I come from performance cars in the past. It is a nice height to get in, no ducking or climbing.
Yea the jerky is a little aggravating but Im starting feel how to glide into it! Im definitely going to try to see if I can turn it off.Congrats! Your RS looks AMAZING !!! THANK YOU SO MUCH ! It shifts so much smoother. You can defeat the auto stop. Shift it into L, tap up to 9 and drive. It will shift normally and NOT auto stop.
Great! I had an Equinox with the auto stop and learned how to defeat it when wanted with the shift into L. That said, the only mention in the owners manual is in the “Driving and Operating” section. It says the “engine may remain running, if the shift lever is in any gear other than Drive (D).” Well, it’s not just “May” it definitely will remain running if shifted into L. The key of course is to also tap up to 9, after shifting into L.THANK YOU SO MUCH ! It shifts so much smoother.
Lexus is on my list of brands to look out for on a hot SUV. So far they haven't done so but its possible. Aside from Jaguar its the only other luxury automaker I might go with.Yes, I test drove Jeep Grand Cherokee and Lincoln MKX.
