After picking up my RS around Thanksgiving I decided to leave everything per the factory settings including the AC/Heater settings which were set to "auto" when I drove it home. Up until last week the steering wheel automatically heated up. I've never tried to turn it on or off myself. On cold mornings the heater turned on, along with the steering wheel. Last week, it didn't. So I got out the manual to figure out how to turn it on manually by pushing the button near the cruise control settings on the wheel.

Now I have to manually turn it on, all the time. Not a big deal, I admit. But why would it change like that? Another software issue?

It is automatic based on temperature.
I realize that. But it used to be that, when the heat and fans came on, the steering wheel heated up as well. But now, when that happens the wheel does not heat up. What changed?

All of a sudden, yesterday the steering wheel heated up without me pressing the switch. Since my last post I have left the heat/AC control set on auto. Guess it will just randomly include a heated steering wheel when it feels so inclined.
