Headlight alignment?

3269 Views 5 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  24gordon
Hey, quick question, does anyone know how to align the headlights? Specifically the hid variant? I have a 2020 and i've never been flashed by oncoming drivers more than in this car, it seems like the lows are just a tad too high. Anyone else have issues with this?

That’s just how hid bulbs are no matter how you align them. They have that glare on coming traffic. I had that problem with my 2020. I had rewired my unit to take an led bulb way better output without blinding everyone. so that’s what I have in mine. Soon I’ll be installing a better bi led projectors for my headlight unit.

I'm not talking about the glare, i'm talking about the actual shutter cutoff from the projector. I noticed that the line of the cutoff is consistently above oncoming traffic's eyes.

Sounds like the shutter needs to be adjusted a bit.
I told my dealer that using my High beems does NOT light up the road any better than low beams. They said they would adjust. Dealer said the ajusted to the lowest limit allowed by chevy. On a dark road, with high beams now....No change. The trees down the road light up great but still cant see farther down the road.
Honestly HID's stink compared to LED's. I have both and always prefer the LED's. I have raised the shutter on both but more on the HID's.
