No that is not the case. You’ll need a 10ml and 7 ml socket, T10 to remove the wheel well and that’s it. The bulb you turn counter clockwise and it will click when it unlocks, then you can pull it out. Pretty easy! The guys at Lucas lighting have tech support line you can ask questions as well.Gotcha, But, I've heard that the headlight bulb is sealed and you have to melt the seal to get to the bulb. Is this case?
Ahhhh you seeeeeeee. Lol that was a pun.Replaced the HID headlights with the LED’s from Lucas Lighting and we are very pleased with the outcome! These light are the BEST!

That’s for oem LED assembly.Well, if it's that simple, I will most likely do it. I had just read somewhere here in these forums that you had to use a heat gun to melt the seal around the bulb and it seemed like it was going to be a giant pain to do this. I like the plug n play!
Thanks, again, for your response. Your pics really jazzed me and I am on a mission now... lol!
Yes!!! Thanks to you Cashss99Ahhhh you seeeeeeee. Lol that was a pun.
So, I'm a bit confused, and excuse my ignorance, but If it's as simple as "plug n play", just twisting the bulb out and replacing it in the OEM housing there already, then why is there a thread talking about all the heat gun application to do the same thing? I've already replaced my factory blinker bulb with an LED bulb down there, and that is a twist, turn and replace the bulb application, so I've been in that housing already. I can go back to that same housing where the headlight bulb is and just twist it out and replace that bulb? Sorry if I come across as being difficult, but I just want to be sure what the process is before I go to the trouble of it all. Which, by the way, isn't all that much trouble.
Also, do you have to unbolt the housing and remove it to replace the bulb, or can you just reach in, twist the bulb out, and replace it? It would be great if someone that is doing this can video the process and post it. Whenever I get around to this, I will post a vid of it. Don't know when that will be.
