Want to change to LED headlamps. Anyone know how to access the headlight assembly?

So if your going to convert your hid to led you’ll have to do some modifications. I’ve taken out my headlight took apart my ballast and Chevy made it complicated to convert. So I’m looking into finding a custom harness to go from the main headlight adapter to try and configure it so that I can change out to leds. Most cars with hid you can disconnect and use the oem plug that supplies power to headlight and ballast. And plug your led straight into that oem power supply. But with the blazer that’s not the case. Anyways you’re going to have to remove the front side panels to get to the headlight.
I have these in my blazer right now plugs to the hid ballast.

I just swapped out the OEM D3S HIDs for some Philips Xtreme Vision XV2 and they need to be realigned. Does anyone know where the adjustment points are at?

You have to remove the front wheels (to make it easier) then remove the torx screws that hold the liner in and the peel it away. There is a bracket in front of the dust cap for the headlights so you’ll have to remove that as well.

I did the same. Didn’t need to realign anything beam Pattern was the same.

There is a cone shaped knob at the top of the light unit, you can use a stubby phillips to adjust.
What is the light output difference upgrading to Philips Xtreme Vision XV2? How much of a difference did you guys notice?

To be honest. Not much. More crisper but at night or rain. The HiD lense blows... the 2021s RS /Premier have the led lense may need to convert. I went to the dealer and they had two together and you can see in the lense the line cutoff for the led compared to our junk.
I bought some LED conversion bulbs on Amazon. Just trying to get up the nerve to do the install...

It’s easy. But I don’t think they will be good with the hid lense. Watch headlight revolution on YouTube they explain it. Post in here when you’re done
I decided to return them. No sense going through the install until we have some reports here of a really good solution to improve the headlights a LOT and that doesn't affect error codes, etc. If any has some great luck making a change, please post here.
I am guessing the best option right now is to pull the trigger on new LED unit from the factory. I have a 2019 with HID and a 2021 with LED, LED FAR better that HID.
anyone have best solution for the low bean upgrade the factory are horrible. How about replacing the bulbs with something 5500k 0r 6000 k

Big deal to swap????

I have heard the wiring harness is different between HID & LED, so there is that to overcome.
Should be minimal....couple mating plugs and the pin-out drawing.....
