A must for me being heavy footed I installed a hard wired radar detector escort 9500.Then I needed a little bass to rock out to with the XM. It's just not the same without some good bass. 2 kicker L7 12s powered by a kicker 1200 watt amp.

Very nice. What power source did you tap for your radar detector? I was going to install one but after finding the fuse block near the base of the center pillar on the passenger side floor, I couldn't get a ground - everything seems to be plastic! Not to mention the pain of routing the wire behind the dash and up to the drivers side. Congrats on your mods!
How’s the stock speakers now that they don’t have to deal with bass? And did you have premium audio?

I dont remember what fuse i used for power, I used at 12v Acc power source in that fuse block with a fuse tap. then I set a ground to the body close to the fire wall. Just clean a spot of the paint and primer then self tap screws. Make sure nothing is under the area that you can screw into thought lol.

They still work good being the premium system. I usually install a four channel for them but they are working fine stock.
Very cool, that must move a ton of air. Where did you pick up the audio signal, and did you use a processor like a LC2i?

This is an old thread, but there's 12V in the mirror. You can get a mirror tap kit and brackets here results-mirrortap

Where did you go through the firewall? Or grab your constant 12V for the amp?
