Glove Box Not Properly Opening?

4859 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Blaze20
Hey all,

Glad I could find a Blazer forum & ask this question.

When I press the Glove Box button to open up the glove box, you can hear it unlatch, but it does not fully open.
It looks like the door of the glove box gets caught somewhere on the right side, where the passenger door panel butts up against the side of the glove box.
What I've found is that I have to push inward from the right side of the glove box to get it unstuck from the door and pull down to get it to open.

Is this a common issue with the Blazer, or just mine? I'm curious.
I have a 2020 AWD RS model.

TIA

Thanks for the replies.
It looked like there was some extra plastic on the side of the compartment the was rubbing up against the right side and stopping the glove box from opening all the way down because of friction.
I ended up cutting out that extra plastic carefully, and now it works just fine.
Super quick & easy fix in the end.

I'll leave this post up in case anyone ever has the same issue
