Hi everybody! I can use some advice here. My 2019 Blazer RS is in the body shop for 2 months now after a collision. Nothing major but damage the front suspension in the left side. Problem is the front suspension Strut is out of stock nationwide (Part n. 84608895). There is a huge back order for this part and every GM dealer I call doesn’t have any idea when the part will be available again. I’ve heard from one of the dealers that GM has quit production of this part. So, What now?? Any thoughts??

There are still issues from Covid affecting the automotive industry around the world. Yes parts are hard to come by due to the lack of workers and shut downs. A lot of people are in the same position as you and all you can do is wait it out. Maybe production has stopped for a time period so they can catch up on other stuff but who ever makes the struts will start back up or another source will be found, even if it's China or Korea. For all I know they are made overseas anyways and getting the items imported is the main issue. Hard to tell.
Hang in there and hopefully you'll be back on the road soon.
