Has anyone installed front mud guards with the factory running boards?
I installed my rears yesterday and went to the front and noticed they would not fit with the horn on the running board. One or the other will need ti be modified... just wondering if anyone has done it.

I'd like to know how these look too. Since these can be painted, I'm wondering if they match the RS black as is or look off. Is there a bowtie on each? I can't decide between these and Weathertech.
So i got them on. The are not gloss black like the body trim. They are black plastic.. no bowtie logo either but they follow the body line perfectly. Rear install was easy. Front install i was just able to get to today as i had to modify them to fit the running boards. Ill post pics below of how it went. It took some figuring and the one side i over cut a bit so I probably will be buying a new front set to redo them lol.. such is life.. over all after the modification they look awesome very happy with them. They are mounted very sturdy and look awesome.
So here you can see how the running board meets the inside line of the wheel well.
Template made for running board horn profile.
He you can see a bit of the miss cut. I cut to much of a belly into the angle. It was hard matching the top corner and return angles but it worked out pretty well.
I chose to modify the mudflap because modifying the running board horn would have taken the strength out of the corner. Plus the mudflap is cheaper to replace if needed than the running board.

Makes sense. Everything looks great. You did a fantastic job. Thanks so much for the detailed pics.

I'm always amazed by the lack of forethought by these auto manufacturers. They offer a running board but no mud flap to accommodate it? My father purchased a 2019 Yukon Denali Ultimate last month and is experiencing a similar issue with his retractable running boards. No one makes mud flaps to accommodate them. That'll be a tough one to solve since they retract at an angle. He may be out of luck.

Ouch yeah that does sound like a bigger dilemma than i was facing! I agree it is rather stupid they offer these accessories without thought as to what happens when you have multiple ones. But thanks! If i buy another set and redo them ill post pics!
I have a set on mine front and rear but I do not have the factory steps so install went easy.
I've just got in rally armor universal mud flaps going to put them on when I take my winters off

Thanks for posting this. I had an appointment today to get my Weather Tech mud flaps put on my 2020 Blazer. They put the rears on and then came out to tell me that they couldn't do the fronts because of interference with the running boards. Oh, I was so pissed because I live on a dirt road and really need them. The sides of the car are always streaked with dust or mud and the mud builds up on the assist steps. Did some engineer not take into account that people install mud flaps on their vehicles? They don't need to extend beyond the wheel well where they interfere with mounting mud flaps. Now I need to find someone that will modify the mud flaps for me because one way or another I'm going to have mud flaps mounted on the front of my car.
