i've noticed as I am putting the miles on, breaking it in, the engine noise is getting louder. anyone else notice?
another thing I noticed, when braking, coming to a stop, the blazer will slow to about 40-30kms, then it feels like the brakes lock up, it brakes harder all the sudden. great i am coming to stop, but shouldn't be so harsh.

I have not noticed the engine noise at 1600 miles yet, but I would welcome it being a little louder due to having an RS, but have noticed the breaks are very sensitive since delivery. It really takes a feather touch with them at low speeds, and I am getting used to it. I also find the accelerator pedal takes a feather touch when starting out. Getting that used to that too!

Mine does seem a little louder (very little) in the morning with the colder weather. But once it warms up it get quieter. However I only have 920 miles (1500 km) on the OD.

I have no issues with the brakes. They are very similar to what I have in my old Equinox.

Makes sense, the Equinox, though different, doesn't have a lot of differences between the blazer.

My 2015 GMC 1500 had brake assist on hills etc, so it's not so much i'm unfamiliar with the vehicle braking harder on its own, it was just unexpected in the new vehicle.

My old Equinox used to have a similar issue when the roads were wet. If for some reason I had to hit the brakes quickly, it would sometimes go into a full brake/ABS stop. It caught me off guard a few times. Especially when the car was new to me. This rarely happened when the road was 100% dry. I figured it had something to do with the ABS programing. Eventually I got used to it.

I’ve had similar issues, and started noticing it as the weather got colder. When I accelerate the noise gets way louder than it should be. I took my Blazer RS into the dealership and they said the flex tube was broken. Turns out that specific piece is on national back order (per GM) and they don’t know when it will be in for them to fix the vehicle. I guess a lot of people are having the same problem?

Is it possible the braking you are feeling is the Auto Braking (collision avoidance)? I notice if I come into my driveway (slight angle upward) and gas it just as I approach the garage door the Auto Brakes will lock up the front wheels, even though I had already let off the gas and was starting to brake manually. It has happened several times now at other places when it senses something is in my way and wants to avoid the collision.

I personally feel that the collision avoidance is too sensitive. It has slammed the brakes on me , stalling the engine twice while pulling into the garage and several times the light will flash and seat will vibrate when a car is turning left in the "left turn lane" and I am going straight passed it on its right side. It's very annoying and a little scary as you don't know when it will just slam on its brakes

I'm having issues with the braking system on my 2020 Premier. When I apply the brakes at low speed all of a sudden the car slams on the brakes, a row of red lights show on the dash momentarily, then the brakes ease off and I can roll forward again. This happens on clear roads with no roadway obstructions. It's like the ABS has been applied or the collision avoidance has turned on.

Scary and irritating I'm sure. I have no clue what might be causing it but the lights on the dash sound like the avoidance system to me? I'd have Chevy check the sensors next time you take it in for anything?

I agree. It scares the crap out of me and my passengers. Has happened at least 5 times. Always when I’m parking. Very loud and abrupt.

UPDATE: A pattern has developed. When I get really close to a speed bump at very low speed the collision avoidance deploys.

I have had my 2020 Blazer for about a month now. This hard brake you are describing just happened to me last night. I was pulling into a parking spot, and my brakes just locked and made a noise! Scared the crap out of me. No warning no vibrating seat no lights nothing. I thought I hit something and my young daughter was so freaked out. If it is the sensors being too sensitive, Im not a fan anymore. Now when I drove today I was anticipating this to happen at any moment. Not fun. But glad to know its not just my vehicle going haywire.

do you drive the vehicle in standard touring or performance mode?....imo you are feeling the transmission gear down as you lower your speed...
