Within that package is a rail system and cargo fence to confidently secure a range of common goods. Visuals of how to make use of the nearly 64.2 cu.ft/1,818 L of space have been provided below for greater perspective.

A Chevrolet first, this available sturdy floor-mounted rail system helps keep your cargo secure as you move from point A to B. The available Flexible Cargo Partition and Horizontal Cargo Net can help prevent items like groceries, gardening tools or golf equipment from shifting.

Performance

In true sporty SUV fashion the Blazer features around 300 hp and 270 lb-ft of toque at peak (3.6L V6), mated to an efficient 9-speed automatic that performs well even with the less powerful 2.5L I-4. AWD is a game changer, making the 3.6L Cloth or higher models worth their premium especially with RS and Premier trims that get Advanced AWD. 5 Driver Mode Control settings fine tune AWD to your liking.

Power
You’ll fall in love from the first press of the throttle with the 3.6L V6 engine that’s available on Blazer and standard on RS and Premier trims. With 305 horsepower, it’s fun to drive and can tow up to 4,500 lbs. Plus, the 9-speed automatic transmission offers smooth shifts and the fuel economy you need.
  • ECOTEC® 2.5L engine offers an EPA-estimated 27 MPG highway.
  • Available 3.6L engine offers an EPA-estimated 26 MPG highway.
  • Intelligent stop/start technology – a smart, seamless way to help save gas in stop-and-go city driving
  • Both engines feature Variable Valve Timing, which adjusts cam timing for performance when you need it, and for efficiency under light load driving.
  • Available switchable all-wheel drive gives you added capability when you need it.
AWD Capability
All-wheel drive, available on all Blazer 3.6L V6 models, gives you added confidence in a variety of conditions. RS and Premier trims offer the Advanced AWD system that’s Chevrolet crossovers most sophisticated. This system helps further improve driver control by independently directing torque through a twin-clutch rear-axle design to the rear wheel with the best traction in poor road conditions. This helps give you more control as well as a confident feeling behind the wheel.

CHOOSE YOUR DRIVER MODE
This standard feature allows you to adjust your vehicle’s performance on challenging road surfaces with the simple turn of a dial.

When equipped with AWD, Driver Mode Control includes:
  • Tour
  • All-Wheel Drive
  • Sport Mode
  • Off-Road
  • Tow/Haul

I was slightly disappointed with the fact that the RS isn't as powerful or torque friendly as the Edge ST.

Torque is especially bad at just over 100 lb.ft less and yet both the RS and ST are priced similarity! Ford might be the winner in this category for me.
Chevy has been a little aggressive with pricing on the higher trim levels for sure. There is no way it should be set so closely to luxury models.

I don't see the problem as its price well within competition. Unlike premium offerings, here you're paying less for more options.
A fully spec'd RDX A Spec can be had for $50k, but I think that caters towards a much different audience. Can anyone attest to GM's 9 speed transmission? I know its been placed in a bunch of vehicles in their lineup.
When it comes to transmissions, Acura is skeptical, they don't have a good recent history to the point even domestic car makers outpace them.
I haven't seen any issues with it in the Malibu or Equinox but I believe it is planned for like 10 different models in GM's lineup. Fords new 10 speed was also developed in collaboration with GM.
Even with the same transmission build, sometime having a different version or tune can drastically change your experience.

Unfortunately you never find out ahead of time, its always after miles have racked up and the issues start showing through
10 speed transmissions seem like overkill to me, especially in larger SUV's and pickups. I know its mostly a result of the new WLTP regulations, but how often are you even going to use those higher gears? Hopefully some new owners can give us an insight into how well refined GM's 9spd is.
Right now the key motivation for automakers and these high gear transmission is to meet gas mileage demand so in that regard a 10-speed transmission is justified.
