Coolant gauge pegged at cold

On my drive to work this morning the coolant gauge was pegged at cold the whole drive around 50 miles. Everything was running fine from what I could tell. I did turn on the heat and it wasn’t as hot as normal, I also checked when I got to work and everything felt normal under the hood the area around the engine felt normal, warm but not hot

Check your coolant. I believe that's a sure sign of it being low. Or your thermostat could be stuck.

Thermostat locked to open Position you will get a Engine code P0128 this happened to me and calls for thermostat change

Took it to the dealership and they said the temp sensor had shorted and was replaced. We're a month down the line since they fixed it and it happened again...
Hey everyone, I too am having a similar issue with the wife's blazer. We are noticing two other symptoms.

A/C not blowing cold, Steering Assistance disable, Engine Temp Gauge at cold and we got CEL once with the P0128.

Following for other symptoms and fixes.

I’m still having the same issue regularly now. I’ve had the CEL come up once, supposedly it shows after the same code shows up 3 times. I’ve taken it back to the dealer to fix, and they always shrug their shoulders saying they can’t figure out what’s wrong. V6 blazer has the Chevy LGX engine that’s also in the camero’s, from what I can find online they have the same problem. Clearing the codes sometimes makes it go away, and sometimes it just goes away by itself

I also found same issue in a Malibu forum. The recommendation I found there were replace temp sensor or thermostat.

Found the sensor and it's not to expensive. Thermostat is included in a housing with a pipe. Price range $100-150ish but everyone is out of stock.

If the truck is still under warranty, take it to the dealer and have them fix it (again). What you are describing does sound like a bad temp sensor or the thermotsat is stuck open. I suspect the latter since the heat wasn't hot. Don't just throw parts at the problem because of something you read on the interwebs. Its like throwing darts in the dark and hoping to hit a bullseye. Good luck.

$913 to replace stuck thermostat on a 2019 RS. Been there, done that. mine did same thing driving to work, but about 15 miles, check engine light came on.
I'm experiencing the same , engine light on ..no ac and temp gauge won't move on 🙄 also steering assist disabled.
Having the same issue. 2019 rs, first driver assist disabled, then thermostat stuck on cold, now check engine light on. Have only had it for 4 months 🤦🏼‍♀️
