I'm a big fan of cupholder placement in the Blazer along with the dedicated space for our smartphones up front. Very well thought out.
Chevy Blazer dimensions
For a sporty 3-row crossover the Chevy Blazer is massive inside in out. After compare its dimensions to rivals like Honda Passport, Ford Edge, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Wrangler, Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and more, especially as you factor in price and other important car shopping factors, the Blazer begins to stands out.
To be fair, the Blazer won't be for everyone. Yes the Traverse also comes from GM, is priced competitively and even bigger. Other examples like it can be found from other automakers but when looking for sporty, spacious, fun and affordable, the Blazer becomes very relevant.
I was looking at the Passport in person earlier and it has more interior volume but lacked the sporty feel that even the base Blazer has. Edge felt like driving a commercial truck, I don't know why Ford positioned seating so high. Then from that point on everything else we can buy is just even less sporty. So as someone in the market for a budget friendly, sporty driving and sporty feeling daily commuter (90% of the time), the Blazer couldn't be any better! An added bonus for someone using the Blazer like I am is the front cabin area storage. Finding places to put my phone, keys, wallet, change, coffee and water couldn't be easier.
If you're using the Blazer to haul your family around, how are you finding the dimensions? I'm not at that stage yet but hoping the Blazer complements my soon to be growing family. If it means moving up to the Traverse... I won't mind.
Feedback on cargo area likes/dislikes and even tips/tricks would be appreciated. Didn't mess around with it yet. In time that might change although the carrying potential and ease of doing so was a major positive on paper and with my salesman's demonstration of it.
