every review I have seen praises the passport and calls it superior. It is if space is your primary concern. Aside from that, it has some flaws.

I agree, the Passport is solid and spacious as a family vehicle, but I find it's very bland in comparison to the Blazer.

every comparison I have seen only focused on cargo space, etc. as if that is the only reason anyone chooses an SUV model. Passport clearly is better if your primary concern is how much you can stuff into its cargo hold. Not sure its the best if you care about features, styling, ride quality, handling, etc

I agree, the emphasis is storage space and reliability as @trailblazer mentioned. Those are definitely not the only factors for buying a SUV but that's obviously the path Honda wants to go with the Passport. As far as the midsize SUV class goes the Passport and the Blazer are sort of on opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of what their selling points are. Which makes it interesting for me when they get reviewed together.
