I agree, the Passport is solid and spacious as a family vehicle, but I find it's very bland in comparison to the Blazer.
every comparison I have seen only focused on cargo space, etc. as if that is the only reason anyone chooses an SUV model. Passport clearly is better if your primary concern is how much you can stuff into its cargo hold. Not sure its the best if you care about features, styling, ride quality, handling, etc

If people are going to say reliability is a factor than there is really no point in comparing anything to the Pilot (except maybe a Toyota) because by default most will assume the Honda will trump a chevy (and other brands) in reliability. One thing working in the Pilot's favor is that it's a shortened version of a 3 year old Passport so it should be reliable- very little is new. But I do agree they are so different they aren't logical competitors- the Blazer doesn't pretend to be an off roader- the Passport does. The Blazer isn't trying to look truck-ish- the Passport certainly is trying to. I find it interesting that the Passport has generally gotten a pass on interior materials while the blazer has been critiqued in many reviews for it's interior. Part of the justification seems to be that the blazer interior is nice, but not "$50k nice" while the passport is judged to a lesser standard because it costs "only" $45k loaded.
