There is a service bulletin for a camera issue that creates a blue screen and and error message that says "Service Rear Vision System" when reversing. I had this issue this morning (no backup or surround camera, just a blue screen) and looked it up. Here is the link:

I also tried the camera button on the infotainment system during my drive to work. The icon would just blink when I tapped it. Nothing else. I've read the issue might go away after the next reboot of the system. I guess I'll find out when I head home from work tonight...

* UPDATE EDIT *
The camera came back when I started the Blazer after work and was still working this morning. We did have a lot of rain the morning it failed. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I guess I'll just keep an eye on it...

I still have mine and this issue does pop up from time to time. I never did get the service done because the issue happens so infrequently (2-3 times per year max). Seems it has something to do with heavy rain. It only seems to happen after a very heavy downpour.

Funny that this just happened to me the same day I made that last post. It hadn't happened for months. There was no heavy rain that day but there was a day earlier. I did have a very full storage area after shopping at Costco however. I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

I just made an appointment for an oil change at the dealership so I am going to have them take a look at the service bulletin I posted above. Hopefully that will fix it for good.

FYI - I took my Blazer to the dealership to have them perform the programming TSB I linked to above. However, I already had the latest update. They did some diagnostics and found a circuit board was going bad. They ordered the part and replaced it under warranty. Seems to be working fine since the replacement.

I got lucky because the day I took it in happened to be the last day of my 36 month warranty and the dealership actually cared enough to make sure they got everything in to make sure it was covered. This was all done on a Saturday when they typically don't do diagnostics. Saturday for them is basically a day for oil changes and tire rotations. My hat's off to the service rep. I had. He's a good one.
