The black bowtie clips on the the molded bowtie outline. The outline is clipped on the trim piece below it.
Pop off the bowtie pieces and get a strip of chrome vinyl and put it over the holes on the trim piece. Simple and easy and will blend at a distance.
Another solution to what you want is to pop off both pieces of the bowtie and have that chrome trim piece wrapped in black vinyl. That will cover the holes. Obviously the outline of the holes will eventually appear due to weather but it will give you a cheap alternative to what you want.
If you're willing to spend the money, take it to a respected body shop and have them pull off the trim piece, fill and bodywork the holes and properly paint to match.
Ones will be way cheaper than the other but it just depends on the route you wanna take and what you want it to look like.
