Blazer shifter/odometer display

This is a 2004 Chevy blazer I just changed the key cylinder also just changed at the same time the instrument cluster here is the problem I’m having

I put the key in click it once and Everything comes on including the shifter display and the odometer light up but I turn the key one more click and then start it and the display goes black I turn the key back one click shut the motor off like it should then the display comes on has anybody had this problem before if so can you please help me in the right direction to correct it
