Blazer RS owner here

Hello everyone. I purchased a 2019 Blazer RS in Cajun Red a few weeks ago. So far I love it. Roomy, good performance and lots of nice options. I admit is is a pricey vehicle and it seems to be getting some hate on social media but overall I find it to be a nice well built vehicle and honestly is not really any more pricey than competitor vehicles with similar options.

I hope that the community here will be helpful in keeping up on the news of this vehicle when it comes to issues and providing info on specifications, repairs, and mods. In fact I came here hoping to find out the thread size and specifications of the lugnuts as I want to get a set of black locking lugs for the wheels because the silver lugs look horrible and Chevy charges too much for a set of theirs. A friend of mine suggested getting a set of Gorilla lugs but I wanted to be sure I had the right size to fit my car.

Welcome. Just took delivery on a blue RS.

Oh nice. I was considering the blue myself as I am usually not much of a red car person but the Cajun Red just pops on the Blazer. I think I would have gotten the Blazer in blue if it was a shade or two darker.
Congrats on getting your Blazer.
It's safe to say we'll see a lot of Red Blazer's thanks to all the marketing material that featured it 80% of the time.
Nice! Welcome. I originally wanted an RS as well, but they didn't have the RS.

Well that stinks. The dealership I go to did not have any as well but other dealers in the area did and my dealer had one brought in for me. All the cars I have owned and currently own have been the sport trim models. The Blazer RS will be joining a family of a 2011 Camaro SS convertible and my wife's Cruze RS. Before this Blazer I had an HHR SS and before that a S10 SS.

I test drove a premiere version the first time and I much prefer the sportier ride of the RS.
I bet RS' can be found but at a mark up.
Fortunately that isn't too common given the high MSRP that has been discouraging a lot of people from what I seen.

I do see some dealers adding to the cost of the RS models but the MSRP of the Blazer RS is pretty much the same as other SUVs that are competitors. For example if you price out a Blazer RS and a Ford Edge ST with pretty much the same options there is only a few hundred dollars in the price difference using the MSRP prices.

The Ford has one main feature the Blazer does not and that is the rain sensing wipers.and it gets a bit better fuel economy but the Blazer wins in towing capacity and has a much nicer interior.

The point is the price is not way different than competing SUVs with similar features but some dealers have been marking the Blazers up particularly the RS model. I see a bit less of that now though because I think they realize the mark ups are not flying well with customers. Thankfully I don't have to deal with all that as I am eligible for the GM employee discount so the dealer price makes no difference to me as I pay less than the dealer pays for the car. I also got the $2000 rebate that was offered and an additional $1500 loyalty cash.

Still an expensive car though and sadly cars are just expensive all around.

GM has to be extra careful because Ford can easily scoop up their potential customers avoiding markups.
