Back Up Light Bulbs

Hello everyone. Simple question. What is the size of the back-up light bulb for the 2019-2020 Blazer, I would like to replace them for and LED one. I believe is such a shame that the whole car has LED lights with the exemption of that. I would gladly accept any suggestion of which to get or how to install them. Thank you in advance.

I bought on Amazon Sirius Led 921 EG and it a huge improvement over the factory one. Easy installation from the inside hatch panel. Just take out the small little panel to have direct acess to the incandescent bulb. No problem at all since the installation 3 months ago.
Thank you, I would have to agree that they do make a significant change.
I may have to swap mine out too. The backup lights now are very dim and the backup camera is basically useless when it is full dark outside. The mirrors don't help much either.

Now I need to find some LED bulbs for the rear brake lights/turn signal lights that do not have that hyperflash issue. I haven't tried any yet but I really want LED bulbs all around. Maybe even amber ones for the front turn signal bulbs.

921 Bulbs. Funny how you didn't notice your Brake Lights/turn combo bulbs are old fashioned incandescent, one each side within the housing of LED running lights? I've been going on about that for 2 years, since Corvettes had 100% LED since 2014, Camaros since 2016, Traverse since 2018...rear LED lights and LED Brake Lights. The incandescents aren't only slow flashing, but appear dim in the Blazer's housing, especially at ANY angle. For a vehicle priced above $50,000 there's absolutely no excuse in 2019, 2020, 2021, etc for this vehicle to be outfitted this way. Easy fix, change bulbs to 7440 LED, right? WRONG. Here's procedure for replacing Brake Light Bulb in new Blazer: Jack up the vehicle. Remove mud flaps (each side for every step). Remove fender liner screws. Remove rear quarter fender & bumper cover. Don't break any clips. Drop the cover down & don't scratch it. Unbolt light housing that's now removable. Replace the bulb & do the other side. You'll also need to add & mount resistors to stop hyper flashing of LEDs. This is a half day's work at best if you don't make any mistakes & can get bumper cover back on securely.

Did you use a interior panel removal tool and just pop the covers off? Should I start at the top or the bottom or does it matter?
I used a panel removal tool on one side and pop off the cover.
I replaced my reverse bulbs to led they are really bright and better for the back up camera at night. I also replaced my brake lights to led brighter. Changed my front signal lights to amber leds. Changed my headlight bulb for led instead of hids way better for night driving.

Be careful, some incandescent to led changes require a load resistor to be installed to work correctly.
Yes everything that I had changed out have built in load resistors that’s one big thing to watch out for when changing to leds. If not bulbs my hyper flash or simply won’t work. Car will show an error flash. So built in resistors is a must on the led swap.
Reverse light siriusled 921. Lasfit 7443 7444 amber for front signal and red for brake/signal anti hyper flash. From amazon

You da bomb.
You just pop the top panel that connects with the rear pocket window? I took the one piece off with the two screws but lost after that.
Ha nvm the lights are on the hatch not the panels tails haha wow

Thanks for all the info. Did you have to remove the bumper to change the brake lights, like Bru was saying earlier?
There are several Lasfit 7443 7444 bulbs on Amazon, and none of them are compatible for the Blazer. Please provide more specific product details on which ones you purchased.

thanks!

I can't tell you which ones will work, but I can tell you that the Lasfit 7443 Amber "CK" version did not work in my front signals. FYI, the CK describes the way the contacts are wired, and apparently you can blow a fuse if you don't use the correct configuration (CK or non-CK) in a modern car. I didn't get a blown fuse or anything, but it did not light up for me.

They are 921 size bulbs. I bought mine from TheRetrofitSource.com. They can be changed by opening the rear hatch and taking off the covers from the inside and twisting counter-clockwise (I think)
