Anyone know anything about Service ESC?

So I've had a few electrical glitches with my 2019 RS, and the last few weeks I started getting "service ESC" on the dash whenever I'm stopped at a red light. I have an appointment with the dealer at the end of the week, but just today it started popping up every single time I come to a stop. Even just one second stops. It's so annoying! When I made the appointment the dealer seemed to have no clue about any issues with that, so if anyone has and gotten any repairs or service bulletin info, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I had a similar issue back in December on my 2021 RS. I was getting "service ESC", "service parking brake", "service power steering". It took the Tech about 4 hours to track it down. Turns out the problem was that the Connector X2 of the active safety control module was not seated fully and locked into place.

Thanks so much! I will mention this when I drop it off Friday. I had the parking brake issue too last year and my car was actually jamming itself into the parking brake while I was driving! I did some digging and found a service bulletin for the issue and the dealer had the car for 4 days to make the repair. Thanks again for the reply!

I have the same problem on my 2019 Blzr RS.
Thanks for your note.

An update as to what they found. The dealer believed it to be an issue with temperatures below 40 degrees based on a service bulletin they had. They couldn't replicate it so told me to bring it back as it was happening. We went on a trip to NC and it was in the 20s and 30s and it did it every time the cat went into auto stop. Constantly! Got back to FL and it was intermittent for a few days. One morning in the 30s it did it several times in an hour span so I drove straight to the dealer. They were able to replicate it and run the code. Turns out it was a bad cell in the battery. They replaced the battery, under warranty, and haven't had the problem since! We had several days since in the 30s, even upper 20s, and no issue.

This is exactly what happened to my ‘19 as well! Every time it would auto stop. It was below 40 as well. I was starting to get nervous but since it has warmed up I haven’t got the alert. I will definitely run a battery check soon. Thank you for your insight!!

I just had the same problem last week with my 2019 RS, I take it to the dealer and they replace the battery because that was the problem, mis comunication with the sensors because not correct voltaje.

That's what they told me as well. It was pulling the wrong voltage and a communication issue with the battery cell receptor. Glad you got it resolved as well! I had just previously had my 30,000 mi service done in the two weeks prior and the battery low test showed no issue so it was interesting they were only able to find it when the service ESC was on

This EXACT thing just happened to me with my 2019 blazer. Was able to show them this forum and get my battery replaced! Works perfect now

Did you purchase a new battery or did they replace it?

The dealership replaced it. Mainly because I got the car less than a month ago and this problem happened.

Wow I also have the same problem with my 2019 which comes on every time I stop (when air is off). I also get constant switching of "snow mode is on", "sport mode is on". I have had it in three times for regular maintenance and always mention it. So far, they have yet to fix that issue which kind of seems like a transmission problem. Any thoughts?
