Any FWD Blazers w/ towing package?

So the wife and I decided to trade in our 16 Wrangler Unlimited for a (hopefully) 2021 3LT Blazer with the VR2 tow package. We’re waiting for it to get traded from another dealership to ours, hopefully sometime tomorrow.

The Blazer just feels better overall plus the better gas mileage and towing capacity is a huge plus. Just curious if anyone has the FWD model with the new towing package yet and what are your thoughts on it?

What up man and welcome to the Blazer community! I have a 2019 that I frequently pulled a small trailer with a 450 quad on it with absolutely no problems. For the last three months I have used it to tow my 6x12 trailer (w/out trailer brake) with a 2 seater Can-Am, again with absolutely no problems. Don't quote me on this, but I'm not sure there is much difference between setups on the 2019-2021 FWD RS, to justify why one could tow x amount of pounds and why one couldn't besides saying it can. My trailer and Can-am are around 3,000 LBS. I don't try to gain speed unreasonably and I don't stop abruptly. Hasn't given me problems yet and I don't for see it in the future as long as I do the necessary maintenance. Either way I got the extended power trans warranty if anything does break. "No, sir I don't tow with it. Hitch is for our bike rack!"

Thanks for the reply. My wife and I actually just bought our 21 FWD model with the towing package and pulled our RV with it. Handles it much better than our Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ever could and that’s all we had hoped for. I barely saw the tach go over 2500 rpm with some pretty big hills. Tow mode honestly didn’t rev it out as high as I expected it would. Traction was great as well, even on dirt roads. It does add the sway control, hitch and transmission cooler with the tow package and luckily I’m all covered under warranty now.

What kind of trailer do you have? Are you using a drop or rise receiver?
