Added a '19 Blazer RS to My Stable of Automobiles

Just picked up a 2019 Blazer RS in cajun red tin coat. The Blazer is replacing a 2014 GMC Acadia.

Options include the Enhanced Convenience and Confidence II Package and the Sun and Wheels package.

With the addition of the Blazer, my stable of automobiles is now fully in the Chevrolet family. My other Chevys are a 2015 Silverado work truck and a 2017 Camaro ZL1.

I'm a car show enthusiast and participate in 60-80 car shows and cruise-ins per season with my ZL1. I have a website devoted to discussing car shows in Central Ohio (http://carshowtalk.com). The Blazer RS is such a good looking SUV that I may take it to few shows this year.

I'm looking forward to being a member of Chevy Blazer.org. I hope to contribute a lot of useful info regarding the Blazer now that I own one. And I also hope to get a lot of good info from other members on this board as well.

My Blazer is scheduled for full front-end paint protection film in February. I'll be sure to let everyone know how that goes.

Congratulations on the new Blazer and welcome to the forum. Im betting that we will see a lot of current Camaro owners with interest in GM's latest crossover. How are you finding the 3.6 V6 so far?

Can't say the performance of 3.6 in the Blazer is all that much different from the 3.6 in the Acadia. The biggest difference is 9 spd transmission vs the 6 spd in the Acadia. Obviously, the engine in the Blazer doesn't wind out to the extent is does in the Acadia due to the extra gears. The shifts are very smooth and quick in the Blazer.

Great choice of color although I bet it will be very common given how often its being used in all marketing material.

Thanks. My wife wanted a red vehicle. The cajun red reminds me a lot of crystal red tint coat from the 5th gen Camaro.

Took a few photos of it in the outside light.

I originally wanted a lighter color but realize most affordable Chevrolet products look better in darker colors.

Hi, im also new to the community, looking to sell my gas guzzling and heavy 15' Suburban for this more agile crossover. Which PPF brand are you going with? Xpel or 3M?

Apparently 3M is easier to maintain and takes more common to find waxes. Factor that into your purchase.

I just joined the forum in anticipation of purchasing a 2020 model this time next year. Your vehicle is exactly what I'd be ordering if I were doing so today. I'm currently driving an Equinox that just turned nine today. It's been a decent but gutless vehicle that I'm looking forward to replacing. I've just got some financial goals that I need to get out of the way before making my Blazer purchase next year.

Anyway, I'm eager to keep up with your journey and learn from everyone on this forum. Hopefully whatever nitpicks owners have with the 2019 model will get corrected with the 2020 model.

Did you get a chance to test drive the Blazer? If so how do you like its performance compared to your Equinox and other Chevy's you might have driven.

Nope. I haven't even seen one in person, though they are showing up in Austin, TX, showrooms. I'll test drive closer to purchasing next year. I don't want to be tempted to purchase this year. That will throw my finances out of whack.

Congratulations on your purchase. I like the color. I just took delivery of the blue RS. My other vehicle is a 2018 Stingray convertible. That said, next week I am having clear bra applied across the front and the front windows tinted to match the rear.

How are the factory tires in snow/ice! Not a lot of either here in the city, but I go over mountain passes in winter and to a high desert home. Plenty of snow ice.

Handling in the snow was very impressive. Especially in AWD. No complaints with the stock tires.
