I bought my RS may 2019, oct. 8, 2019 started having issues with ACC disengaging while driving down the highway for no reason! There will be no cars close, clear weather. Seems like it disengages at least 1-2 times a month, randomly. It’s been back to dealership, 8 times. They’ve replaced camera in windshield, a module, ran updates, check for loose connections. They usually keep it a few days. So they can drive it, but it never duplicates. I’ve been in touch with GM customer care. March 26,2020 I hit a deer, which knocked the camera in the grill out. Due to COVID, it was June until the body shop could get parts to repair. NEVER had a problem from March 26 until sept 8. Nothing in Oct. but it disengaged 1 time in Nov, twice on the same day Dec 2.
if anyone is having the same issue and got it resolved. Please contact me!

I've had it at the dealership, almost 2 weeks ago. They call GM and ask what to do. But they really didn't do anything, but drive it several times a day for 2 days. To see if it would disengage o
for them. No such luck. But....so far so good. But I've about decided, that I'm going to continue to document date, time, mile, etc. when it does disengage and just wait until it stops working altogether.

The answer you are looking for is in the owners manual, in the 2021 model anyways. I'm surprised the dealership have you the run around. If it doesn't detect anything is a certain distance, it disables or default to fail safe mode thinking the system is faulty. ACC works great in areas with traffic, not so great or useful in baron areas.
