It's a mass market vehicle and GM has included the kit to match this. As a first generation model, they have to play things a bit safe, at least until they can establish a consumer base and determine what changes need to be made moving forward.

Since Chevy has brought the Blazer to the LA Autoshow, so new unique characteristics of the crossover have come to light. Yeah but fuel economy has taken a dive in the process. The whole reason of going towards a smaller engine should be for better efficiency, but a high revving engine is going to prevent that.
