2021 RS rear bumper reflector replacement

4830 Views 11 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Blazer2021
my wife backed into something and broke the passenger side rear reflector. I’ve looked and can’t figure out how to get the old one out. Anyone ever replaced one? Is it an easy DIY job?

Sorry meant to specify that it’s a 2021 RS
Easy fix. Just snap in bumber. Part # 84500523
It doesn’t seem to want to pop out. Is there anything holding it in from the back?
So with backup 360° cameras Plus backing sensors, how'd she back INTO something?

Don’t get me started on that. That was a big argument and that was my question

Have the new one but can’t get the last part of broken one out. I felt the back and it doesn’t feel like anything is holding it in but it won’t budge. Any suggestions?

Is that the damage or did you brutalize around that?!!

The reflector is bolted from the back. The hole closest to your little finger is the bolt hole. I have attached a picture showing the bolt part number. I have also attached a picture of making it easier to get the bolt in place since you have to access it through a large hole in the bumper support. Use some duct tape and tape your socket to the socket extension. Then use some masking tape and tape the bolt to the socket. You use heavy tape on the socket and light tape on the bolt so when you pull it off when you are done, the light tape will release the bolt and your socket will not get stuck up with the bolt. I hope this helps.

Helps a lot. Appreciate it
Does anyone remember socket size? I need to remove the bolt on broken reflector

There is no hole in bumper support. You have to remove entire back bumper. On a 2021.
