Fuel economy is similar to most rivals in this class and the only car that has a lower starting price is the Santa Fe. I do wonder why Chevy didn't consider a turbocharger for the V4. So many automakers are going the forced induction route with their smaller engines.
2019 Chevy Blazer MPG
As a late entry to one of the fastest growing segments in the market, the 2019 Blazer aims to carve out competitors with bold styling and capable powertrains. Early impressions and reviews have already found that regardless of engine choice, this new crossover is engaging and surprisingly nimble to drive.
The 2.5l four-cylinder engine comes solely in front wheel drive but yields certain advantages. With the lack of AWD equipment, this version is much lighter than the V6 model, coming in nearly 400 pounds slimmer. We expect that this will translate to a livelier and more agile feel in both the handling and ride.
Stepping up to GM’s 3.6l V6 brings a lot more added power, as well as a significant bump in towing capacity when properly equipped. All-wheel drive is optional on this engine and a more sophisticated twin clutch AWD can be had on both the Premier and RS. Chevy does allow the ability to disconnect the AWD system, bringing slight improvements to fuel economy.
Upgrading to the larger engine will bring a drop in the Blazers EPA-rated fuel economy which has been set at 20/26/22 mpg city/highway/combined for the V6. Opt for the AWD variant and the numbers are even lower at 19/25/21 mpg. The most economical and wallet-friendly 4 cylinder has been set at 22/27/24 mpg.
With several different drive modes to choose from, there will be some experimentation involved in finding one most suited to your needs. Other factors such as cargo, driving style and weather will also have an impact on real-world numbers.
With a bold new look and the comfort, speed and utility one expects from an SUV, the Blazer is a strong new contender in this crowded space.

It might be more common than you think. Some owners I spoke to report a similar avg... then there was this I found onlineI checked fully numbers and among the only two owners that reported their mileage, combined they get 21 MPG average.
Not exactly the best but it will be bad if that number says consistent as more new Blazers get added.
